  1. Nearpost345, I am on the Breeze cruise leaving from Cairns and headed to Indonesia in February (no stops in New Zealand). I've not seen anything about uploading proof of vaccination 14 days prior to boarding. How/where did you upload your vaccination proof? Is this only required if the cruise stops in New Zealand like yours did? We have gotten the Australian Visas, and are set to do a proctored self test the night before we board, but that's the planning so far. Thanks.
  2. I flew through Chicago from LHR a few weeks ago. Global entry took a minute or two. There were perhaps 10 kiosks, and given that all you need to do now is stand still for a picture and grab your receipt, I was at the baggage claim in minutes. Of course, you then need to wait for bags for 30 minutes.
  3. It is my understanding, and I may be wrong, but vaccines provide little defense to the BA.4 and BA.5 variants. The vaccines will make it less likely to get really ill, but they offer little protection against getting COVID from those variants. it would not surprise me that if someone brought it on board….even though they tested negative before they boarded due to lack of incubation time….that it would then spread like wildfire.
  4. No there was no test at boarding. We got on today in Bergen. The proof of negative test required to board is the same 24 hour or 72 hour one that has always been required.
  5. I am on Mars now Can confirm no more daily COVID testing….at least on Mars. We were told this at check in. However we did still have to provide proof of a negative test on checkin. So that requirement is still in operation.
  6. So just 5 days in quarantine now, instead of 10? Is this a new change of policy for Viking, or have I missed that quarantine time had been reduced?
