Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was wondering about this and would love to hear their answer.
  2. So, originally I booked a family ocean view cabin with picture window on the Jade for 3 cruisers. Before final payment, one cruiser had to drop out. When I called to cancel the 3rd guest, the rep advised me that I HAD to change cabins. She said that since we were only two, we could not have a family ocean view cabin as they are for parties of 3 or more. I ended up moving to a less desirable porthole cabin. I have never heard/read that you couldn’t have fewer than 3 people in a family ocean view and am wondering if this is a new thing?
  3. If there are 3 people in a cabin and 2 are platinum, is that 1 or 2 dinner vouchers?
  4. BTS was available on Epic last week. I don’t know about the dinner with officers.
  5. My niece got credit for all of her sailings BUT did not get double points on a couple where she should have I.e. booked with the “latitudes” code and everyone else in the cabin got double points. Not having much luck getting credited for those 😞
  6. It’s been a few years since I’ve had the casino drink card without the FAS drinks, but at the time, casino house drinks was very basic - beer, wine, simple cocktails e.g rum and Pepsi, vodka and cranberry, gin and tonic, etc. I wasn’t able to get a Kaluha and cream, a mojito or a frozen drink. Of course this may be different now but I couldn’t say for sure.
  7. Quick question - is there a complimentary sauna and steam room on Miracle? And if so, are there showers that I can use so I don’t have return to my cabin looking like a wet, hot mess?
  8. I hate dealing with CN staff. On my last cruise, I was going to get 2 Cruise Next certificates, so as you know, with OBC it would have been $500 value at a cost of $250. The Cruise Next staff tried talking me into buying 2 certificates and getting 2 free certificates for FREE instead of getting any OBC - so $1000 value for $500. I said I only needed 2 so I’d stick with the OBC. But you can get 2 FREE, they said, why wouldn’t you want FREE certificates? When I said both options worked out to be 2:1, they became rude and indignant - one says to the other - oh so we don’t know our job, SHE knows better than we do, maybe SHE should be working here instead of us. Screw that, left without any CN. Cruising again next week, I hope CN staff are better because I really would like to buy a couple of certificates, but won’t if they are pushy and rude.
  9. I was in my on-line Carnival account today and noticed an offer for a Premier Cruise with includes $500 FunPlay credit. In the terms and conditions, it notes: "To redeem the FunPlay credit offer, the named VIFP Club member must bring the original mail piece to the casino cashier’s desk on board. Enjoyment of the FunPlay credits is subject to validation, and Carnival reserves the right to refuse redemption." I never received mail with the offer. I don't normally cruise with Carnival and this is my first offer from them. I'm wondering how strict they are about seeing the original mail before providing the FunPlay credit. Has anyone been denied? Would appreciate your your experience and/or feedback. Thanks.
  10. Not sure if I had a new bag or an old bag. My bag included women's small and medium clothes: 10 undergarments 2 pairs of socks 4 shorts 1 jeans 2 pants 8 t-shirts Could have fit a couple more items A la Carte, the cost would have been just under $110.
  11. We did our COVID tests at a pharmacy (7 Euros) that was a 3 min walk away Thanks for the great review! I am doing this itinerary this week. Do you remember the name of the pharmacy you used?
