  1. You are correct, Miracle has stabilization problems along with other mechanical and refurbishing needs . We sailed to and back from Hawaii in Feb. and Mar.this year. In 2018 the Miracle went dead in the water for about an hour off the west coast on our way back from Alaska. The complete round trip was the roughest I have experienced in 18 years of cruising ( have had periods of rough seas in the Caribbean).
  2. Never took a Christmas cruise during our 18 years of cruising until this past December. Did a B2B, 12/12--12/26. Was very disappointed with the activities, especially on the 12/26 leg. Was so hyped leading up to the cruise. Overall the cruise was just what we wanted, beach and pool days for two weeks.
  3. Have never been to La Romana. Enjoy the pool at Amber Cove, makes for a relaxing day in the sun.
  4. There's not much to choose from. Iced tea, and the diet sodas are all I can think of. I drink iced tea most of the time. I like to have a nice piece of diet cake or cookies with a cup of speciality coffee but diet cakes/ cookies are hard to find.
  5. Its always been out of cabins by 8:30am. 9:30am is the usual time you must depart the ship. If I remember the tags go up to around 30, maybe 32. We are platinum, and get a low tag. You do not have to depart the ship when your luggage tag is called. The last cruise in March we decided that morning to let the rush die down and sit around talking to people and did not depart until around 10am.
  6. Find your cabin steward or any other one, and ask for ice. They will fill it as many times that you need.
  7. Alaska cruise. Look at the luggage tags, should say Diamond.
  8. There are complimentary pastries in the morning. It's usually what is at the continental early buffet in the morning. Buy ten get one free, punch card
  9. Ketchikan is a shoppers heaven, yes it is picturesque but Glacier Bay is a must. You'll kick yourself in the rear end if you don't go.
  10. We are on the Miracle April 2023 to Alaska
  11. You have a reserved late night dinner seat for the duration of the cruise. But be advised, you have to show up for dinner at the late night time. You cannot walk in at anytime you pled.
  12. Can't help with distilled water. Ask the cabin steward for two extensions. Store the insulin in the fridge or the medical staff will store it for you. My understanding the insulin will be just fine in a backpack or another type of bag during the port day. There are company's that rent scooters to cruisers and deliver to ship. Scooters must be kept in your cabin, right in the middle of the cabin, no storage space available on the ship. Put your luggage out the night before, when you reach the area where you pick up your luggage, find a porter ( they are all over ), to haul your luggage to your transportation home. Those slow lazy vacations are great. Got back in December from two lazy ones, no excursions, all beach days.
  13. Carnival will know you are on a B2B. They will leave all the info on how the B2B works in your cabin a few days before your first cruise ends. Always a good idea to stop by guest services and advise them first or second day of 1st cruise.
  14. Have no fear, there's a drink no more than 5 minutes away at all times.
  15. We were on the Freedom B2B over Christmas. The atrium had violinists, guitarists, and a great rock and roll band. The Red Frog had two good guitarists. The casino was always lively, but as I said previously, there was no entertainment on our last 3 cruises.
  16. Try Guest Administration 1-800- 438-6744
  17. The atrium bar has a variety of music all week long. The Red Frog Pub has entertainment also. There used to be entertainment in the casino area, have not seen any during our last three cruises. Our favorite is the Atrium bar.
  18. Can't give you a comparison. We did a bear and whale watch out of Icy Strait and it was spectacular. The whale portion of the excursion took us in the vicinity of Glacier Bays entrance.
  19. No, been waiting for the day the masks go away. Only wear a mask when forced to.
