Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Just back - we were able to pay everything with CC. We did tip our tour guides with cash though, sometimes it was pounds, dollars or euro. Sometimes a combo of the three depending on what we had. We also tipped our cabin steward and wait staff with cash.
  2. Just off the British Isle cruise on Regal. About the only ones wearing white/gold were the dancers.
  3. We are on this sailing as well. I didn't get the memo though. I love theme nights and plan to pack a pair of white pants anyway and have a gold top as well. So all set! Thank you for the heads up.
  4. Our EZ air flights to London (premium) are much less than direct regular economy. Also, our flights to FLL next year (premium) are less than booking directly with the airline regular economy. I tend to book EZ, then keep checking and if I find a lower fare directly with though the airline it is easy to cancel EZ. So far, have not had to do that.
  5. So if you are given a kettle on a British Isle cruise, do they provide tea/instant coffee, or do we bring our own?
  6. Last summer we got to the port right at 11am and walked right on. No lines. This is when they had to check your negative covid test as well. It was very stream lined.
  7. One of the reasons we use a PVP is that he is able to get us our favorite cabin that isn't available on-line or for anyone else. Just did it today and he came through again for us. I generally book early and then re-fare when prices come down. Perks are not as important to me as "my" cabin is.
  8. Miami Vice/Lava Flow while lounging by the pool Cosmo before dinner Aperol Spritz with dinner Anything with Baileys after dinner - I will have to try the Baileys Raspberry Martini!
  9. Yes, Norovirus is going around everywhere. I have been caring for my husband and daughter who have been sick since last week and still not well. My older daughter and grandson had it also. Somehow, I managed to escape it (knock on wood). If I were on a cruise ship now, I would wear a mask, avoid close quarters (crowded elevators) and wash my hands a lot as well as use sanitizing wipes. I think the above is what kept me from getting it.
  10. This is one of the reasons we use a Princess Vacation Planner. He always gets us our favorite cabin even when it shows not available.
  11. I booked a British Isle cruise the week it was released. Refared on greatest sale ever and saved several hundred per person, gained $100 OBC per person and kept most of the same perks. For me, it worked out in my favor.
  12. I love the forward cabins with the big decks. Especially for a cruise with a lot of port stops. Sail in is amazing from your balcony.
  13. I posed this question on another social media site (FB) and heard from several people that recently did a BTB on Mediterranean . No testing for 2nd leg.
  14. My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon on Carnival. We were young and wanted to have fun. We met other newlyweds on the cruise as well as many other couples that would meet up after dinner for some dancing, music and comedy shows. Now that our kids are grown and we go to bed early, we cruise on Princess. If they are looking for a nice, quite honeymoon, Princess would be great. But if they are looking for more of a party atmosphere, I would recommend Carnival.
