Just an email confirming that I asked for the refund. No amount.
-
I know in the past when I cancelled a cruise with only the deposit made, they would say it would take a certain amount of time too receive the deposit back in my account and it was always there in a couple days. I was hoping that this would be the same. I requested my refund on April 13th and so far nothing. I'm interested to see if anyone has gotten their refund for a fully paid, NCL cancelled cruise and how long it actually took.

I started trying at midnight. Finally called and they said it would be today at some point. I was just now able to submit. It is just taking time to keep up with the demand. Now I just need to wait for them to cancel my June cruise out of Rome.

Not sure I understand completely. If we take the refund for a cancelled cruise but purchased the Platinum Insurance, will we still get the $400 as a cruise credit and the remainder to our credit card?

I guess that means that you will not getting off the ship by 10:00 am. I hope everyone planned their flights later.

We got an update from the captain just before lunch; he says we’re on schedule to arrive near Port Canaveral and get the pilot on board around 9am tomorrow and expected to be docked and ready for customs inspection by 10am. We’re to get more info on disembarkation procedures tonight, but for now, they say no extraordinary procedures (E.g. temperature check or other health screening) have been communicated to them.
The captain said the Epic has no suspected coronavirus cases on board (despite the fact that people continue to cough right into their hands all the time, including in the buffet — that’s my observation, not the captain’s 😒)
They are arranging free buses to transfer us all to the Orlando airport.
Thank you for the update! I hope everyone is able to enjoy the extra time before coming back to reality.

DIL is on the Epic now and said they've been re-routed to Port Everglades.
Are they telling you what time you can book your flights?

On board the Epic now; we got woken up at 6;30am with the captain announcing that the National Guard closed the San Juan port - we could have docked but would have had to spend 3 days in quarantine. Captain/NCL decided to divert to Port Canaveral instead of doing quarantine. We’re expected to arrive Tuesday.
Drink packages have been extended and we’ve been given 60 min of free wifi per cabin to make new flight arrangements, overall mood is okay, long lines for Internet cafe.
Than you! Do you know when you are expecting to be in Orlando on Tuesday? I need to pick up someone on that ship and I’m having trouble reaching them.

According to @zippydo1 over on the thread For Those of Us NOT Cancelling and Sailing Soon ships at sea, at least the Breakaway, are closing up free items in the name of safety while leaving items like the casino open to make money with. If we get more reports in this thread can be updated but here is what we know so far:
Breakaway
Closed
- Sports Court
- Mini-Golf
- Ping Pong
Cancelled
- Awesome 80’s deck party
If anyone is on other sailings or hears of similar stories please keep us updated.
Are you sure that's not due to weather?

So if NCL is forced to cancel a cruise, for instance they cannot sail out of Italy, then they would have to refund us everything in full correct? But if you already cancelled, then you have FCC and will not get any money back.

I'm on the same Getaway cruise as you and likewise, prices haven't gone down. They are still higher than when we booked by about $2,000 for two.
I booked on the very good rate for a inside and used point to upgrade to a OV and was hoping to bid up balcony. Hoping to win a bid to a balcony. If Italy is still open in June.

I'm on the June 18th out of Rome. I really hope they let us know sooner than later if the Italy ports are going to change. I booked this cruise for Greece because I've been to the Italy ports several times. I would still go, but concerned about the airport in Rome.

I'm on the Breakaway April 23th and the Getaway June 18th. I've been checking prices too because I would like to upgrade my cabins. No movement.

I'm confused by the 90 day thing. Had you paid your full payment yet? We have a June 18 getaway from Rome and our full payment was due 3 weeks ago. We still want to wait things out and see how things go, but would be nice to know if and when we are able to still get a refund. We also paid for a few flights with points and a couple others that are nonrefundable...but we will have an issue if our Europe to Europe flights get cancelled and the cruise does not, since we won't be able to get to Rome easily.
I'm on the June 18th Getaway also. It is my understanding that we can still cancel for 2 more weeks and receive a full refund. My question is will they refund the amount I paid for NCL insurance also. I used points on from my NCL MC to upgrade and I figure I'll loose those. Not that bad.

I've done the BA OV deck 5 twice and it is my favorite. I am interested to hear about the comparison to the Inside, but for location and convenience it's my favorite place on the ship. Just got off a cruise Sunday. Had a balcony, (which was nice) but I really miss the extra room that useless couch takes up.

Just got off the Epic on Sunday March 1st. They seemed to look at each passport more closely. I figured they were checking to see travel history. Other than that, no difference.

On a 10 day the perk is 5 meals for guest 1 and 2. I am sailing alone in the cabin but will be with friends in a different cabin that does not have the perk. Will I get 2 meals or one per dinner? I tried looking it up but think my situation is a little different and was hoping someone had experience with this situtation.

I just saw my cruise for June out of Rome go down significantly. I purchased an indoor and used my NCL mastercard points to upgrade to a OV. Now I'm bidding on the various balcony categories. I just lowered my bids and am considering just calling and paying the difference to the balcony, but feel like it could go down even further. Has anyone got awarded upgrades for June or July sailings out our Italy?

Are there computers available for use on the Epic. I sail this weekend and may need to work a bit while on board and was hoping to not have to bring my laptop.

We too have rented a jeep for the day.
I downloaded MAPSME , and there are some points of interest mapped out on there, with directions from the port. You can choose what interests you. We want to visit a few beaches but also see the bridge, and Arikok National park.
Very helpful app.
here is a map of the island.Thank you!

I'm boarding the Breakaway in Miami April 23rd. It is coming from Orlando and should be empty as they disembark on the 22nd and move the ship to Miami. I do not usually concern myself with getting on the ship early, but since this is a short cruise and cabins should be ready, I was hoping to get on as early as possible. I am Platinum but the rest of my group is not. Do I need to try to get an early boarding time or can we all board in the early group Platinum? Not sure how that works, I've never been early before. How early can we get on the ship?
Refund from NCL Canceled cruise
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
I know people have received refunds from cruises canceled before final payment and using the Peace of Mind cancellations. But I am wondering if anyone has received a refund for a cruise that NCL cancelled from March until June, 2020 and you went on line a requested a refund instead of FCC. I was not able to request a refund until April 13th but there was a group before my group that requested earlier than April 13th. I cannot request a refund for my June cruise until later this week but still have not received my refund for my April cruise. I know they said 90 days, but I was wondering if anyone got money from NCL for NCL cancelled cruises. I want to cruise soon, but NCL is making me nervous with the slow response to refunds. I may not make my final payment for my September cruise at this point.
