Received my non-expedited renewal this morning, 13 weeks to the day. Entered online January 4th, went to "in process" 2 days later. My theory is that they're trying to boost domestic travel.

In December, inside stateroom 7025 had wand-type in the shower.

No retracting clothesline…has anyone brought their own portable?
We've had the same problem on Celebrity. I always have some nylon cord along, so I just find a place to attach it in the cabin.

There are a couple things i have noticed post-covid.
They skipped out on the towel art. I only got it 2 times in 3 cruises in my vista suite and I asked for it for the kids.
The main dining room has cut back on the silverware and glasses normal used for a MDR place setting. No salad fork, bread plate etc... I think it makes the experience less grand. The food has been a step down in quality in the MDR. I eat now in Club Orange mostly. They cut out the NY Strip steak option and only do it on occasion or you can get the $40 dry aged. I think it is a bunch of little things that combine to make the overall experience cheaper (for lack of a better word). If you hadn't cruised on HAL prior to COVID you probably wouldn't notice but if you had it is noticeable. I just think they made some cuts in areas that really don't save them a lot of money but impact the experience. I am getting on a ship tomorrow so I will update but in Nov it was the above... I would also say Club Orange is definately worth it.
No bread plate? Zuiderdam had them in December.

NAAT tests such as PCR can be performed up to four days prior to departure.
Yes, according to Bermuda. Royal Caribbean says differently, and they're the ones who will be deciding whether you get to board.

This is how it was. If it isn't this way now it is something very similar.
If you are in a full suite or are Elite you receive priority tendering. Procedures for this vary. Read the information provided or ask.
All others report to the designated tender ticket location to get their tender ticket. It is usually a DR. Your ticket has a number on it. You wait in the DR until your number is called. When called you are escorted to the pontoon to board the tender. On the return you just show up at the dock and wait in line. No priorities. Get there early. Lines get long. At some point, maybe a few hours, after tendering began, when the lines are all cleared there usually is an announcement that indicates that tender tickets are no longer required, Just report directly to the pontoon.
You mention Maine, Assume Bar Harbor, and RI, Newport. If you are sailing from Canada and Bar Harbor is your first U.S. port then all passengers on board will be required to go through immigration. You will receive information about the procedure if this is your situation.
I would expect the ship to make these ports of call unless there is a serious storm. Princess seldom stops at these ports.
Sometimes they'll get the tenders going earlier than the first scheduled time, so if you're ready early you can get on one without a ticket when they make the announcement.

Do notice that the kits have temperature ranges that they should be stored in. Mine say not above 85F. I'd suggest having them in carry-on luggage, since you can't control what happens to checked luggage, like being left to sit out in the sun.

A number of brands come in 3 oz tubes; I took Neutrogena on my December cruise. And technically just "biodegradable" isn't good enough; the substances it breaks down into can still be harmful to coral.

I have heard that Brisbane is getting a replacement for the Spirit and the Costa Magica was mentioned. Will be happy never to see the Spirit ever again. I went on that ship a few years ago and it was bloody awful. Dark, dingy and typical Farcus. I don't know what drugs that bloke was on when he did the designs for the Carnival ships.
Farcus also did the Magica. Wouldn't say she was dark & dingy, though, just bizarre. Even did a painting of himself as a monk for the library's collection of pictures of famous historical figures.

There is also a Subway restaurant that's open for breakfast, half a block from the hotel.

Star Breeze finishes at San Diego, though. Ponant does list RT cruises from Cozumel next December, though.
-
Star Breeze seems to have a departure from Puerto Vallarta on April 30th.

Should be accurate, but what you're seeing now is for the current cruise, not yours.

Serenade did on a 6 night cruise in December.

I think you should browse Cruise Critic at least once a week so you won't have any more surprises.
Oh. I didn't know about it, either. I guess we're required to visit every board, once a day?
-
They're accomplishing it by requiring that passengers book their flights with the cruise line.

This Minnesota guy HAS seen snow. I'm booked on your cruise. Since you don't want to buy extra clothing for just this one trip, I agree with the idea of visiting a thrift store. If you have the time, try to visit one in Seattle; they'd likely have more relevant items. After a cold & windy coastal cruise up from California in May 2019, I picked up an additional warm item or 2 at a thrift shop in Vancouver before my Alaska cruise; of course that guaranteed that everywhere from there on would be warm and mostly sunny.

This math adds up PERFECTLY. We had 2 cruises before the switch and if those count as 15 points, then my total works out.
Nowhere near it for mine.

Why is because it's a repositioning cruise at the end of the season; heading north. My visit to the Barrier Reef was also on a north bound repositioning cruise, at about the same time of year. We happened to get good weather. If we hadn't, well, we were going to get wet anyway.

I've used 2 to 3 meclizine per day for years (vertigo). On cruises, I try to space them out so that I'm always pretty well protected: first thing in the morning, a couple hours before dinner, and last thing at night. Some people say that they get drowsy, but it seems to usually involve alcohol. I've never gotten drowsy from it.
Speaking of the patch, did you know that scopolamine has been experimented with as a truth serum? I remember them using it in "Where Eagles Dare". I've joked with patch wearers on cruises that they'd better look out because they might find themselves telling their spouses the truth.

Each time I see this topic I feel like it's asking a deep philosophical question: Is a ship that's half full the same as a ship that's half empty?

'Some years ago" doesn't mean that the situation is the same now and isn't really helpful.
Actually, I wasn't trying to be.

Some years ago a guy on our roll call said that he wouldn't go ashore at Santo Domingo or at Willemstad, Curaçao because they were dirty.
