I smuggled in a tiny bottle of vodka and didn't get that suitcase until after dinner. My husband was all like it's your own fault, they know you had booze in it! I told him that at least I wouldn't have to go to the naughty room because I just closed it with a zip tie.
The suitcase was there when we got back from dinner, unopened. Whew!

This Joseph guy is a NUT! We asked our waiters what was the deal with him and they just shook their heads and laughed - they said he's fun to work with because you never know what he's going to do next. They talked about his first wife ditching him and then he married someone else. They said he has to be on some kind of "happy pills"!!! Said that at their staff events he is even MORE of a crazy character than in the dining rooms - that he just does outrageous, unpredictable things. He seems like such a tame guy, then you can't believe it's the same person up dancing on the tables with the light up wigs and costumes!
Funniest thing is just hearing completely out of the blue somebody whispering on the microphone........."it's sssshhhhoooowwwtime!!!"
Oh man, then I need me some of those "happy pills"! lol I wish I had his energy!
And I know what you mean about hearing "It's ssshhhooowwwwtime". My kids would crack up and then even if they were fighting, boy they got quiet then just to see what showtime was going to be tonight. My daughter will never forget that, or when we would say "may I have your attention...pleeeeeeease".

You mean there are 2 Joseph the supercharged maitre D's? LOL
The Joseph we had was the one in the picture.

By the way, does anyone know where he's from? We forgot to ask him, and we can't quite place his accent.

Yeah we had Joseph on the Liberty last week. We loved him! He was very entertaining and he sure looked like he had a lot of fun dancing on the table. He certainly was supercharged! LOL My kids will always remember his "it's showtime".
Pregnant and cruising?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Fifteen years ago I cruised on Carnival when I was 24-26 weeks pregnant with my first child. The doctor gave me his OK and a note. I told my travel agent I was pregnant, but I'm not sure if he told Carnival. Carnival never asked for the note or said a word to me, and I was definitely showing at that point.
