  1. No need to just bet red or black at roulette. Bet what you want with your promo chips and you will be paid in real chips. We think it is a lot of fun to gamble with their money!
  2. We have always enjoyed the burgers at Mast Grill, despite what some have posted. The fries are great All kinds of toppings, even grilled onions and mushroom. There is also a turkey burger which I have never tried. And don't forget the free ice cream in the buffet with usually a short line. If you have OBC to spend, perhaps consider Sushi on 5, which is very reasonably priced a la carte. Much more there than just sushi. My husband who doesn't ordinarily like fish, other than shrimp, loves eating there.
  3. But we may think that these other ship experiences may indicate the same could happen on E class ships. As above, check your daily for possible venues.
  4. Equinox also had ballroom music in the Sky Lounge most evenings at 9 or 10 PM this Jan. and last Oct.
  5. I see many comments that there is no forward view open deck for non-Retreat guests on S class ships. That is not true. You just have to know where to look. There is an open forward deck with some loungers on deck 12 outside the gym. Just go in the gym to the front door. and voila! Forward view deck and loungers.
  6. Does Delta Comfort allow first checked bag free? It seems that sometimes I have to show my Delta AMEX card at check in for no fee and sometimes I do not.
  7. If anyone is currently on EQ in Retreat, would you please ask Laura, Retreat Concierge, when she is leaving and who her replacement will be? Unfortunately, I believe she may be leaving on the date that we board, April 24. Am I correct that Janelle is also on board as Concierge?
  8. So do they still sell turtles for food markets? I ate turtle once many years ago and found it very good to my taste.
  9. Thanks so much for both your posts about Public Beach and Smith's.
  10. Idtr- Same thing happened to us on an RCI cruise. Except they didn't shove it under the bed. They just left it in the cabin. Second day with notice to all stewards to check every room for our bag, it was found and delivered to us. RCI had given us T-shirts, toothpaste and brush and $150 OBC to buy other stuff.
  11. Is there natural shade anywhere along the Public Beach? Or where is there chair/umbrella rental, please? We used to go to Sea Grape beach years ago which had some natural shade and umbrella/chair rentals. I see you can rent these at Coral Beach Hotel. But we prefer natural shade. I also see that it appears that Smith's has trees for shade. Is this correct?

    Sky Reef?

What is the taxi fare from the International Pier to Sky Reef, please? Been to Money Bar (back when it was Dzul Ha). My kids may want to try either that or Sky Reef. Is it in the same general area as Money Bar?
  13. Anyone been lately? Pics look very good. For people who are used to walking a mile or so a day, is this walkable? Looks great for a small beach and decent snorkeling.
  14. Luggage is not just "dropped" at the airport. You will not see it again until you arrive at your final destination. Love this service. So nice if you have a later flight so you can explore the city or go to the beach, etc. before your flight.
  15. Celebrity only charges airline fees, if any, on your luggage. If you have no fees, there will be no additional charge. The $29 X charges is for the valet luggage handling only.
  16. I agree with Terry on specialty dining if you are in Luminae. The service in Luminae is far better. And the prices now with the added mandatory gratuities was about $104 per person, with our Elite discount. We are done with the specialties except for Sushi on 5.
  17. Hope they don't use up all that Zacapa the next couple of cruises, as we board Aril 24 for b2b! I read somewhere that the replacement Bambu rum was banana flavored. Yuk.
  18. Try Rom for a Day. Get a room at a hotel with a pool and stay as late as they allow. Usually that is 5 or 6 PM. We did this once in Ft. Lauderdale. Usually you can get a day room for less than $150.
  19. To those currently or next cruise on EQ in Retreat, please ask Laura when she leaves and who her replacement will be. She is scheduled to leave sometime in April and we board April 24. Thanks
  20. Who were the Retreat concierges,. please? We will be back on EQ in Retreat in 3 weeks. So ready to be back! Do you know who was in the World Class Bar?
  21. I always carry Fixadent in case of losing a crown. A friend had to leave a cruise and fly home from St.Martin several years ago because her husband cracked a tooth biting down on an olive that he thought was pitted.....but was not. Travel insurance is your friend.
  22. You would be better off with a Classic Drinks package if you want a drink more than once or twice a day. I don't know what dinner package you speak of, but I would go for the drink package over a dining package. The food in the buffet and MDR is quite good. Also with the drinks package you get coffees and sodas as well as alcohol. And as mentioned above, you are allowed to bring on boarding day 2 bottles of wine for each adult in a cabin. This should be in your carry on luggage.
  23. There is a concierge on board SIL with a desk in the same area as the Captain's Club host desk, which is on either deck 7 or deck 8 as I remember. He/she will check in for you. Or I believe the I-Lounge will let you check in on line for free or a nominal fee.
