  1. Will make my nap a cooler one......thanks for the tip!
  2. We were on the Noordam last June on an Alaskan cruise. I saw no one using the cabanas. Although it was cold, we spent lots of time up top wandering around so you could see the sights from all perspectives. The crows nest is also a great place to see things due to it’s 180 degree views-and it’s warm inside-and all of the information on display there and speakers who come on board are so helpful. We started in Anchorage and then took the coastal train-another incredible journey-to Seward to meet the ship. Alaska was never on my bucket list and we only went because friends were going but I found it to be one of the most beautiful and interesting places I have ever been. (and don’t ignore Haines, a quirky little place.) Also some of the most beautiful parts of the trip were the cruising the first few nights. The water is the blue of the Caribbean-an incredible sight as the mountains meet the sea. We were out on the deck at midnight one night and it was twilight and so calm and clear. Unforgettable! Enjoy your trip😊😊
  3. Oh thank you so much for explaining that!!!! It didn’t seem clear. That explains the $20 person people were saying Didn’t seem right
  4. My husband and I wanted to get a clamshell for our time on the beach at Half Moon Cay. I went to excursion page on HAL and it said $39.50 per party and there are 2 lounges in clamshell. Only his name is checked and if I check mine, price doubles. I don’t think it’s very clear. If I don’t click mine, does that mean someone else will be sitting in the lounge next to him? And where is that $20 per person cost I have been reading about. Thanks
  5. Our embarkation day on Niew Amsterdam is Super Bowl Sunday and our beloved Pats are playing. Do you know if this ship has a special place to watch an event like this? We were on another cruise line the last time they were in it and there was a big party at the pool for the game. Thanks
  6. There was a free hop on hop off trolley in Old San Juan last time we were there, that we took up to the fort where we toured. Then we slowly walked back to ship stopping at places of interest along the way and also had a delicious lunch at the restaurant they invented pina coladas at (had a couple to make sure they were the real thing 🙂. )
