Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Ugh. I am looking to book the 2023 World Cruise on Arcadia. I've never cruised P & O before and was considering it rather than Cunard. All of this news of cutbacks is seriously making me second guess!
  2. Hubby and I have booked a Cunard World Cruise for 2023. Due to unforeseen business circumstances he will no longer be able to cruise but is encouraging me to go ahead with the voyage on my own. I have no problem going solo...except for the PRICE! Going from double to single occupancy makes a huge difference in cost. I do understand why this is. I have done some research and noticed that the P & O World Cruise is substantially less costly. The itinerary looks excellent as well. We have cruised over 30 times with Cunard, NCL, and Royal, never with P & O. So my question is...do I bravely change to an "unknown to me" cruise line and go with the flow OR cancel a 2023 World Cruise altogether? I should mention that 2023 seems to be our ideal year and due to some current minor mobility issues, sooner rather than later works for us.
  3. Cunard, which we have been on several times before. The price and itinerary looked very appealing on P & O though!
  4. We were going for extremely brave😀 Thanks so much for you input! Think we will stay on the line we are already booked on for the WC!
  5. Disregarding the food, the entertainment, the politeness of the staff, etc....did you feel safe that the crew were ready, willing, able and most importantly trained to deal with any major emergencies or safety issues that could arise? (God forbid.) We are thinking of booking the 2023 World Cruise with P & O but have noticed comments regarding the crew being eager to please but still not fully trained. Have to say it is a bit concerning to us! We have never sailed P & O before, so taking a World Voyage is a huge step on an unknown product to begin with...just want to make sure all of our concerns are as addressed as they can be.
  6. We received this email as well. Personally I think it is a wise move for Cunard to take this step. With the world still in flux it allows people to make a more informed decision closer to the departure date without Cunard having to issue refunds. It also allows for Cunard to make necessary port or itinerary changes closer to departure and have the time to advise customers who may wish to cancel due to those changes.
