  1. I’m looking forward to your review. I’ll be on Panorama B2B in January, so this will be a preview of what’s to come. Having been to all the ports multiple times, this will be all about the ship for me.
  2. Hi to you too, Froufie. Another TA to look forward to! Nancy
  3. I like to leave my cabin, taking my carryon with me, and have one final breakfast in the MDR while waiting for luggage tag numbers to be called. It’s a nice way to end the cruise rather than battling the crowds in the Lido.
  4. I have also booked this cruise, right after arriving home from the Celebration TA. Looking forward to a springtime westbound cruise and to traveling with Julie (repogirl49) and Mary (maryann2). I will be staying in Barcelona 2 nights prior to the cruise. Nancy
  5. How about dinner at the Steakhouse with your dad, and have a toast to your mom? My condolences to you and your family.
  6. The member appreciation drink on your last day will be loaded to your card. FYI, on my most recent cruise (Celebration TA) I was to become Diamond but got a Platinum card in mailbox. A friend in my travel party was to become Gold but got a Red card. Guest Services took care of issuing the correct cards. If this happens to you, go directly to Guest Services before the huge line forms. I had no wait at Guest Services because I went right away.
  7. I was on the Celebration TA and had the value plan. It was very good. No instances of outages all across the Atlantic, and speeds were decent. Nothing to complain about. Probably the best ship wifi ever for me.
  8. Just got off the Celebration on Sunday and saw you had started a live review. I’ll be following along. You do the best reviews, St. Greg!
  9. I was on the Celebration TA that just arrived in Miami on Sunday. At the beginning of the cruise the Fun Squad told us there were 84 ships on sticks aboard the ship for the voyage. They were given as prizes at Family Feud and the Love & Marriage Game, and probably other “big” events. Medals were given at trivia.
  10. I always tip extra at the steakhouse. $5.00-$10.00 per person depending on level of service.
  11. I am currently on the Celebration TA, and I can confirm that the price is indeed $19.00. It hasn’t been open since sailed on Sunday because of rough seas and inclement weather. Hopefully that will improve once we head south and the Bolt will be open.
  12. Does anyone know what MSC would match for Carnival Diamond?
  13. I lost my avatar too, and had the account locked notices.
  14. At the end it says it doesn’t include Journeys Cruises. I’m leaving on a Journeys Cruise this Sunday so was a bit disappointed to see that.
  15. I have never seen or heard of a Cheers sale.
  16. I’m on the Celebration TA leaving on 11/6/22. I booked the steakhouse in June.
  17. Carnival’s website gets very busy starting at 12:00 AM, so if you don’t get in right away, just keep trying. If you get stuck partway through the check-in process, you can exit out and go in again. It will save what you have already completed. Some people skip right to the arrival appointment section and go back to do the remainder of the check-in.
  18. I’m a non drinker, so the wine isn’t important to me, but friends I have dined with have ordered the free red and white, and they said the wine was good.
  19. There is a choice of white or red. They don’t mention the specific brand or type, just white or red. They also offer 50% off a bottle of any wine on their menu.
  20. In Seattle admission to the terminal was supposed to be by the arrival time on your boarding pass, but that wasn’t adhered to. Once inside the building and through security, there were separate check-in lines for suites, diamond/platinum, and general. But once boarding started, it was strictly by the boarding group number on your boarding pass. Suites were called first, then A01, A02, etc. People in wheelchairs went right after suites, at the same time as A01.
  21. I have had suction cup grab bars in my shower at home, and they work “pretty well,” although I had one that failed as I was holding onto it. Luckily I didn’t fall, but have now replaced the suction cup ones with permanently installed grab bars. Not taking any chances.
  22. Awesome deal! I wish deals like that would come my way.
  23. Carnival’s Fly2Fun program only offers economy fares. Some people have reported that they have been able to upgrade on the airline’s website after booking with Fly2Fun. I wasn’t able to do that. YRMV.
