Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We went on Celebration in February and also had an e-mail advising our arrival time was at 12:30pm. We ended up getting to the terminal at 10:45am and they let us on through and we were on the ship by 11:00am. We were prepared for them to say please step aside and wait for your arrival time but we thought we would take a chance and sure enough they let us on through.
  2. I second that quote! I just got off the Celebration too and was looking forward to getting a Tervis tumbler at the Red Frog Tiki Bar. Their staff informed me they don't carry them on the Celebration. I checked all fun shops just to see if there was any tumblers and they all said no their ship doesn't carry any.
  3. My wife and I just returned from our 7 night stay on the Carnival Celebration where we booked a casino rate that had the DOU while playing in the casino and $200 OBC. I wanted to give a tip on the DOU in the casino for those that are not aware. It took me till day 2 to find this out and it may be something that has changed or just the preference of the casino bar staff. It is stated the DOU would only apply if you were actively playing in the casino. So you had to wait on bar staff to come around and give them your order. Well the first day I played for an hour on the slots and no one came around. The second day after playing for 30 minutes I decided to go up to the casino bar and I asked for a drink. She took the order and she came back with the drink and as I signed it I noticed $0.00 charge. I asked her about coming up to the bar to ask and she said we have no problem with you coming up and asking. She said we're aware there's not enough bar staff to handle everyone so come up anytime instead of waiting while you're playing. So for the rest of the cruise most of the time I just went to the casino bar instead of waiting on bar staff. Heck I even stopped in there on my way to somewhere else and was always able to snag a drink.
  4. I am sailing this Sunday 2/26/23 for 7 nights on the Carnival Celebration and just got my first call with Carnival offering an upgrade on my cruise. My wife and I booked an interior room with a casino rate and was offered to upgrade to a balcony room for $350. We figured since we got such a good deal on our cruise we could splurge and take them up on the offer. Normally we save that money for other things since we're not in the room that much but it's our 35th wedding anniversary so I thought let's do it. This will be our 13th cruise and have only had a balcony one other time. So don't give up hope if you're waiting on a call to have a chance to upgrade.
  5. If she has a picture of herself where she boarded the ship or a picture that would show proof of her being on that ship she can upload it to Carnival and they will give her credit toward her VIFP. My wife and I went on our first cruise in 1990 on the Carnivale. We have a picture of us at embarkation. Sent it to them and they added it to our cruise history.
  6. Great to hear thanks for the information.
  7. I will be on the Carnival Celebration February 26th and I have drinks included while playing in the casino. I am wondering if I can order any type of drink that I prefer or only from the limited menu the casino bar shows on their site?
