Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Visiting St. John on the NCL Getaway on Sunday, March 5th from 9-6. We are 2 seniors with back issues so long walking or climbing or hiking anywhere is a no-go, But we want to see/do some fun things on the island that day. Been to St Thomas before and going again the next day. Other things we should see in St. John? There are limited ship tours left. Nothing historic/museums. Beaches are good. Your advice is appreciated. Mary Ellen
  2. Hi, our cruise ship gets into San Juan at 4:00PM to 10PM. We're not into the bar scene, and not interested in a sunset cruise. What else is there to do at night? Ideas appreciated. ME
  3. My husband and I - cruisers in our 60's staying in a family balcony - will be sailing on the Norwegian Getaway for 12 days on February 26th. Before other cruises, I have asked the question on this forum for past cruisers of the ship to share what they liked BEST, what we should definitely try, and secrets you wish you knew before you sailed. So if you've sailed the Getaway, what restaurants, activities, shows did you like best, would not miss if you were us? What foods would you definitely suggest? What secrets did you discover about the Getaway that you wish you knew before sailing? Thanks in advance. Cinderellie
  4. Hello cruisers. We are a couple in our early 60's who has been to San Juan before. We will be there again in March on the Norwegian Getaway from 4PM to 10PM on one day, a Wednesday. We have limited mobility, so no walking tours or hiking. We have done city tours, the beach. We do not want to see any more historical monuments, museums, churches. We want some type of interactive experience, like a cooking class, how jewelry is made... things like that. Is there anything interactive that would be available in that night time slot? I know it's a reach, but I had to ask. Anything except dancing lessons. My husband is a hard NO on that. Thanks for sharing your experience! Cinderellie
  5. Hi, new Celebrity cruiser here, and not having cruised in 4 years... here's a question. How do you learn about daily activities on the Celebrity Summit? Are there printed dailies still, or is it all electronic, on your phone? Thanks! Mary Ellen
  6. How much is it to get digital images of the unlimited package? Mary Ellen
  7. Just reading about this Hot Glass Class on other Celebrity ships. Is there something like it on the Summit? And other classes? This is my first time on Celebrity. We sail this Monday, May 23. Thanks for filling me in! Mary Ellen
  8. Hello. We are leaving Monday on our first Celebrity sailing on the Summit for 10 days. Are there theme nights or parties I should know about/prepare for, like White Night? I know there are 2 dress up nights, but anything else? Your knowledge is appreciated.
  9. Because of Bermuda Covid testing protocols, the itinerary will probably change days and ports, leaving the 27th.
  10. Hi. Sailing on tne Celebrity Summit on 5/23. We heard that Bermuda Day will occur on May 27th in Hamilton. And that busses and ferries run on limited holiday schedules. Main parade starts at 1 pm. Will it be prohibitive/cutting it close to get back on board the ship by 5pm ( we sail away then.) I presume everyone will be exiting at one time, with a premium for transportation options. Advice, please?
  11. I am on the same sailing. We're in Bermuda for 3 days. Right?
  12. That sounds great, kenb, "IF" we liked coffee. But thanks for the suggestion. Others may love it.
