  1. I got several lattes. They were excellent.
  2. We just got back from our cruise and I think this would be a perfect excursion for your parents. You had to do very little walking and I learned a lot about the city.
  3. We had a simply wonderful time on Reflection this past week. It was our first time sailing with Celebrity and it won't be our last! A few notes: We spent two nights in at the Courtyard at Fort Lauderdale Beach prior to the cruise. We had a stupendous view and really enjoyed watching ships coming in and seeing the Reflection waiting for us on the second morning. We had a King Junior Suite and when we walked in ( a little after midnight on the first night) we realized the air wasn't working. When we expressed concern, we were told the hotel was full and we could check out for no penalty and find another hotel (unlikely that we would find one on Easter weekend). They did get someone up the next day to work on it and while it was still hot, it was bearable. We paid a lot for the room and I was frustrated with their attitude of "sucks to be you" and their refusal to do anything to make up for it This is the second time in 3 months that we have had major problems with a Marriott property (over Christmas we stayed in Charlotte and the water was out for most of the day and we were basically told the same thing) and I suspect we'll be mostly staying in Hiltons after this. Boarding Reflection was a breeze and it was lovely to be able to put our carry on luggage in the room and explore the ship. Our room was 7161 and was a verandah on the hump. We loved the room and spent a lot of time on the verandah. We could occasionally smell cigarette smoke but otherwise we were quite content. I did think that storage seemed to be more limited than previous cruises we had been on, but I may have been imagining things. We did take an approved extension cord that had three outlets plus several usb ports and that may have been the most important item we packed because there were only two outlets in the cabin and I needed one of them for my CPAP. Speaking of that, a huge bottle of distilled water and a long extension cord were awaiting me in the cabin. So glad I asked for them in advance. I thought the food was good to excellent. We ate most dinners in the main dining room and there was only one dish that I actively disliked, the chicken saltimbocca. We ate one meal in Murano and one at the Lawn Club Grill and enjoyed both. We had breakfast and lunch at the buffet and were very pleasantly surprised (we are not usually buffet people). We only attended one show because we loved listening to the live music and I fell in love with Cellar Masters. We also really enjoyed the Ensemble Lounge. We felt that basic wifi was suited for us. I could do most apps. We didn't need to stream anything and I was able to (very slowly) send some pictures to family and friends. We upgraded to the premium drinks package and while I'm not positive that it paid for itself (we are not heavy drinkers), it was nice to not have to worry about being charged for every thing that we had to drink. A number of people we met on the cruise talked about how many children were on board but for Easter Week there were fewer than I expected and all were well behaved. Our room attendant was amazing and we really liked the people who worked on the ship. We had one off night in the main dining room when we were seated in a different section, but everyone else was wonderful. We went to Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire. In Aruba we did a sail and snorkel with the ship and there were a lot of people on board but I really enjoyed it. In Curacao we went on the trolly tour. That's not normally the thing for us, but we got to see much more of Willemstad than we could have on our own and we enjoyed our walk back to the ship. In Bonaire we rented a premium golf cart from Bonaire Cruisers and did the south loop. We really enjoyed it but wished we had spent a little more time at the beaches. We did have a difficult time finding the gas station to fill our cart at the end (as did several other people) but would absolutely rent from them again.
  4. Has anyone done the sailing and snorkeling tour offered by Celebrity? My husband and are in our late 50's, not in the best shape but are used to spending a lot of time in a lake on our summer vacation so can handle getting up and down a ladder and swimming I'm curious as to how much you could see while snorkeling and how crowded the boat usually is. Thanks so much!
  5. Hi everyone, We are sailing on the Reflection March 30. I know there will be another Celebrity ship in port that day. I've looked but cannot figure out which terminal we will sail from. Can anyone help me with this?
  6. I'm not sure. Because I'm not going on the cruise, I don't have any of her cruise documents. I'll try to find out.
  7. Thanks so much for letting me know. My sister is from the coast and my mom is an excellent cook. Both are sticklers for how their fish is prepared. I'll let them know so they can make an informed decision on what to choose that day.
  8. My mom and my sister are traveling to Alaska this spring. My mom, who is in her late eighties, has never cruised before and is a little nervous about everything. I'm not going on this cruise and have never cruised with Regent (though I'd love to). My mom had several questions that I cannot answer, so I was hoping you could help. 1. Ketchikan -- does the ship dock there or someplace else? She thinks it may dock somewhere that is about an hour from Ketchikan and is concerned that will limit the amount of time she will have at that port. 2. Binoculars -- she is wondering if binoculars are provided for all guests or does she need to bring her own? 3. Reserving restaurants -- She knows this process opens up on Friday but is a little unsure of it. Can she reserve restaurants for both her and my sister (they are each traveling solo because they didn't want to share a cabin). Also, one of the ports had a mention of a salmon bake and she didn't know if that would take the place of a dinner. Thanks to all!
  9. Has anyone been on this tour and would you recommend it? We did a beach tour the last time we were in Curacao and this time we're interested in seeing Willemstad before heading back to the ship. Also, the tour says you can stay in Willemstad if you arrange your own transportation back to the ship. How far would it be to the cruise port?
  10. Thank you! Can you tell me what I will need for check in? At midnight I am not at my best 😀
  11. Does Celebrity send an email about when you can check in? This will be my first Celebrity cruise and my first cruise since Covid so I'm not familiar with the procedures.
  12. Thanks everyone! I think I'll choose my restaurants individually. What is the biggest discount I can hope for if I book them in advance?
  13. Hi everyone, I am a relatively inexperienced cruiser (only 3 cruises under my belt) and my husband and I are sailing on Celebrity Reflection to the ABC Islands in March. I'm trying to figure out dining and I have some questions about the specialty restaurants. A quick note about us: I eat about anything but my husband does not eat any seafood ever. We both, however, are pretty decent cooks and we love a well-prepared meal. So here are my questions: 1. The specialty dining package (4 nights) is running at 8% off for $197.99. Is that worth it or can we expect to find a better sale between now and the end of March? Or can I get a better deal when on the ship? 2. What do you think of the different specialty dining options on the Refection? Are they worth the price? 3. Le Petit Chef appears to have two menus. Can you substitute (for example, my husband will want the French Onion Soup rather than the Bouillabaisse) 4. I watched a review that said the Lawn Club Grill was really good. Is that your experience? 5. Any other suggestions you have about dining on the Reflection? Many, many thanks for your help.
  14. Many thanks to everyone. I just booked a Deluxe Veranda on Deck 7 (all that was available). I got the all-inclusive package because that at least appeared to be a decent value. I now have 274 days to figure out all that we will do. The cruise goes to the ABC islands and though I've been to two of them, Bonaire will be a first for us.
