I was to be on the Ryndam on 6/27 but it wouldn't be done by then so they switched me. If they are to cancel, I'd rather that they cancel before final payment so I don't have to go through payment and cancelling other bookings.

Maybe not. Our Spring and Summer cruises were cancelled before the final payment was due, but not too long before. Just 2 or 3 weeks ahead of time.
Thanks. I'm waiting to know my cruise status before I book anything else. 6/20.

I wonder if cruise lines are waiting until after final payment to cancel cruises.
-
can you use multiple amex cards for one booking?
Yes.
-
I know it's an old deal, but I'm glad it works for some of you. Again, if you have multiple cards, you can split payment to get multiple discounts.
-
You have to "Add" the wlcl offer to your card.
Thanks for the additional information.
Some people claimed to have added the offer to multiple American Express cards and split the payment on a cruise. You can do that if your American Express cards are not linked.

Posting this in case you don't know about it.
If you don't see the offer when you log in to your account, go to the link above.

Wish I knew about this a week earlier.
Edit: Oceanview rooms are still available on Carnival's website but not available on Cruise & Vacation's website.

Don't schools usually have 4 weeks off during the school year? 2 in December/January. 1 in February. 1 in March/April.
Being a teacher doesn't mean you can ONLY cruise during the summer. Enjoy your cruises!

It's for 2/15 so I can't do that.

Two different trips.
Airfare. I needed to confirm the dates with my employer so I couldn't book when it was $989 with 26 hour layover in Beijing so I could visit the Great Wall of China. Once I got the dates, airfare went to $1,185 with 10 hour layover in South Korea. I waited for the other fare to come back and the price is now $1,256 for the 10 hour layover in South Korea.
Cruise. I wanted to book when it was $511 after taxes and fees for 2 (inside). I couldn't due to companion's paperwork. Now that everything is cleared, the price is $575 and I can't choose my own room.
Would you wait for the price to drop or book now at the higher price to lock in your vacation?

Feel free to send some rain over to California.

Are people really leaving 30% tip on top of the standard gratuity of 15% that has already been added? I understand another 5%-10% but 30%? Your waitstaff is lucky!

WOW, I am very sorry to hear this! What ship was this on?

I booked 3 guaranteed inside back in December. The rooms were next to each other all the way up front, on Rivera. We upgraded to oceanview and got 3 consecutive rooms all the way back, on Rivera. On the first night, white flakes were all over the place after a shower. The water took a long time to go down the drain. I called the maintenance people 4 times within 2 hours before they finally came by to take a look at it. After an hour of "fixing" the problem using the snake in the control room outside of the rooms and calling multiple people for help, all 3 rooms were flooded with sewage water - all black. I went to the front desk to let them know I needed to move to other rooms. Instead of calling the maintenance people, one person walked with me all the way to the rooms to confirm. An hour later, we were assigned different rooms, close to someone who smoked marijuana. We went from smelling sewage to smelling marijuana. I kept seeing security near our room, but I wasn't sure if they did anything about it as the marijuana smell continued throughout the cruise. Of the 3 rooms, 2 rooms were filled with people who were first time cruisers. This is not how I want to introduce cruising to them. :)

Hello,
I'm taking some first timers on a cruise next week. 2 of them have severe motion sickness that I didn't know about when I booked. I booked the guaranteed rooms that ended up being the last rooms in the back.
One person tried the patch and some pills on a car trip last week, but she was sleepy the entire time. What can they do to help with motion sickness while still able to enjoy the trip?
I had problem with the vibration of the ship on the Lido deck at the buffet. I don't feel the vibration at the other parts of the ship. I can only imagine it being worst on the Riviera deck. Now, I feel like I shouldn't have upgraded us from our inside rooms to oceanview rooms.
Thank you for the suggestions.

I hate myself for not checking on prices like I normally do. I missed out on this sale. Even though I couldn't have lowered my price, I would have been able to change 3 inside rooms to 3 ocean view rooms. :( I missed it by a few minutes as I was waiting on the phone for a rep. Arg!

For those who book today, they are locked to the current taxes. Is there anyway for me to lock in that rate so that I can be guaranteed the $35.22 OBC instead of waiting to see if the rate will go up when I cruise?
-
Hello,
I understand I will automatically receive an onboard credit if taxes, fees & port expenses go down. However, what if that fee is lower now but will go up when I cruise?
Amount paid: $159.20
Carnival is currently charging: $123.98
Thanks.

LA World cruise terminal in San Pedro is $12.00 per day to park. Not sure the $ for Long Beach terminal parking . Please correct me if I am wrong:eek:

Did I make a mistake by booking it at the P&G rate yesterday? I will totally regret it if prices dip much lower. I know I should not keep checking those prices after I have already booked. I just can't help it. Currently, there are a lot of rooms available, possibly half or more than half of the ship. Is there anything going on that weekend?

What to do in Ensenada while on a budget (less than $30/person if possible) if you don't drink, have been to the blow hole, and have walked the downtown area?
Is there a nice walk-able beach in the area or one where you can take public transportation?
Let's speculate: Europe 2021 Cruises

Yeah. They changed it from Ryndam to Rotterdam, which won't be done until July/August. My original sailing was on 6/27. I was pretty disappointed for not being able to be on a brand new ship. Now, I probably won't be able to go at all.
