Called princess up sale department this morning again and got through. I was told it was sold out. I then received a call 2 hours later from a different representative who said that the actually had two full suites available. So I took the offer and it does include the balcony breakfast

    That's wonderful!  Enjoy your suite!

  2. We also received and took an upsell offer to a penthouse suite.  "Breakfast for two on the morning of your choice" is actually the "Deluxe Balcony Breakfast for two".  If you accept the upsell offer, the balcony breakfast will be listed on your travel summary in your personalizer.   This is in addition to  your breakfast at Sabatini's suite perk.

When we received the offer, I called immediately and left a voice mail message letting them know we were interested.  We didn't receive a call back for 6 hours so called them again and actually got a hold of a rep.

    Good luck!

Hi everyone! We paid for an upgrade to a S3 aft suite on the Aloha deck. Seemed like a good deal.  We have been on princess but it has been a while. The deck plans seem to show that the balcony is smaller then the deck above and below, is this true or just the pictures.  I think I read that we can have food from the dinning room rather than traditional room service. We have three people in the room and wondered if the sofa is comfortable.  Any other information about the suite experience on princess would be great.  Thanks!

Congrats on your upsell to a suite.  You'll love the suite and amenities.  Ordering from the dining room menu is a great perk, especially on long port days when you want to relax and dine in your room.  The Concierge Lounge is located on Riviera deck, one deck up from you.  Convenient to grab a cup of coffee and pastry in the morning, or snack in the afternoon.  ....not that there's a lack of food on the ship.  LOL

Enjoy the complimentary specialty dinner at Crown Grill or Sabatini's your first evening.  You'll receive a card informing you of the time and restaurant.  If you need to change it, call the Dine Line to request a different time or restaurant.   There will also be a list of suite amenities on the desk in your room, so be sure to check it out.   We took an upsell to an aft suite on the Royal and sail next week.  Can't wait!!!!

    Enjoy your "suite" life!

When these changes happened and delta rebooked you, so this happened before you paid for the flights through EZ Air? But then did not make you pay a higher fare to change flights? Delta just rebooked you? Just confirming

Yes Delta cancelled the original return flight just before final payment.  They rebooked us on a much, much smaller plane -  a single row of seats on one side and two seats together on the opposite side.     There was no change in fare.   I contacted Delta to see if they would rebook us on an alternative flight (had the same time table as the original flight) and they would but would re-fare us with an increase of $780 .

  5. We use EZ Air frequently.  Had many flight times changes with Delta for our upcoming cruise in January.  The biggest change was our return flight being cancelled.  Delta booked us on another flight which gets us to our destination airport a lot later then the original flight.  We'll have a 3 hour drive from the airport getting us home around 1:30 a.m.  Our seat assignments were also changed: only 2 of our family of 6 will be sitting together.  This can't be helped because the new flight was mostly sold out.  Were we happy about it?  Not really, but we'll make it work.

  6. We plan to book a suite on the Star Princess for our 50th wedding anniversary next year.   There's a difference in size between D737 (listed as being 495 sq ft) and E732 (listed as 527 sq ft).   Just wondering if the difference is in the actual room or the balcony.

  7. We received an upsell for our upcoming 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise - a mini to aft Penthouse suite on the Royal for $499 p/p and $149 for our 3rd passenger, plus we get to keep the premium beverage package we booked under the Sip and Sail promo.  Can't wait!!!

  8. We received an email upsell offer from our Club Class mini to a Penthouse suite on our January 2020 cruise just yesterday.  I called the number listed in the email and left a voice mail as instructed (last evening).  Still waiting for the Princess upsell fairy to return my call.  🙂  I checked the sailing and it appears there are 6 of these suites available.  We booked through a TA, who forwarded the upsell email to us.  If the location of the upsell is to our liking, we'll probably take the offer.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

  9. Congrats on the upsell offer.  $99 per person sounds great.  We just received an upsell offer from a Club Class mini on the Royal Princess to a Penthouse suite for $499 per person for a 7 day cruise.  I'm tempted to accept as we're celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.   I'm waiting for the upsell fairy to return my call tomorrow so I find out what's available.

I tried as well for our March 30th sailing and get the same message. We are past final payment but I understand it still is a ways out.

I did call Princess a week or so ago and asked if our sailing would be an OM sailing and was told no.... I’m interested in what they tell you when you call. Please share. :classic_biggrin: Thank you.

Just spoke with a young lady who is with the Medallion tech division.  She said the Ocean Ready app is experiencing glitches with people using the app on smartphones and iPads.   She asked me to wait a day or two, then login and try to add my booking.  She said the problem wasn't because the Royal doesn't have the full Medallion system up and running.  So that ruled out my theory.  🙂    I'll wait a few days, delete the app, then reinstall.   Crossing my fingers!

I just talked to Princess rep, my cruise was too far out. Once it gets closer and is PIF my info can be downloaded.

Our cruise is a little over a week away.  When I  get to the section to add our reservation (booking) the Ocean Ready app tells me "your reservation wasn't found.  Please recheck your legal name and reservation number and try again".

I'll give Princess a call in the morning.  I'm wondering if the problem is that Royal Princess isn't 100% medallion ready.

There is no limit for soda and water on Princess. Don't put it in your checked luggage as you will likely be called to the Naughty Room to have your checked luggage inspected.

Hmmmm...so Paul, are you familiar with the Naughty Room?  🙂

Planks is on one side and Steamers is on the other. You can order from either and sit in either. You can order from Planks and your dinner companion can order from Steamers if you like.

Good to know!  My hubby loves seafood and I have a seafood allergy.  Ordering BBQ from Planks for me and seafood from Steamers for him solves the problem.

  14. Have a wonderful cruise!  Denny and I will be following your "Live From".  We met you and Judy on Patrick's tour in Bora Bora on the 28 day Hawaii/Tahiti cruise.

I'm impressed with your packing skills for your trip.  We're getting ready for a 49 day South America cruise and we have 4 large suitcases, plus 2 carry-ons.  If we had any sense, we'd leave 1/s of our stuff at home and twice the money!  LOL

    Safe travels!

I changed fro early to late as 7:15 is ok. If it is 7:45 I will be really ticked off.

Princess changed our traditional dining time during our November 17-24 cruise on the Royal from 6:00 to 5:00 p.m.   Way to early for us.  We changed it to traditional dining at 7:15 p.m. before we sailed.  Boy were we surprised when we boarded and discovered our dining was moved to 7:45.   It was much to late for our grandchild, but we made it work.

We received another email this week from Princess regarding the change in dining times on our upcoming South American cruise.  I don't know what to believe now.  Guess we'll switch to anytime dining.

Ok your going to think we have lost our minds. And we have!!

Here are the details we had a mini C429 it’s a great mini with the larger balcony and we love the cabin have cruise in it a few time.

So we were offer an up sell to R612 Penthouse Suite for $3495.00 pp it’s a 49 day cruise on the Royal Princess. We booked the day it open with a TA. Princess  offer $1,000.00 OBC plus free gratuity our TA does discount the cruise fare.  So in total we have $1,800.00 OBC. So for what we payed then the up sell we took the offer. We thought for 49 days a larger cabin would be nice!

This maybe to much information but as I always see people that took the upsell I always would have like a little bit of information on what they we’re offered.

    We are happy😄

    Betty

Congrats on the upsell, Betty!  We're also on the 49 day cruise and received the same upsell offer.  It was very tempting, but we declined. If we wouldn't have another cruise already booked,  we probably would have snapped up the offer.   You're going to love suite life!
