Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Totally agree, all I can say is they charge that way bc they can...same with Hideaway Beach. Did it for $22 while it's now being charged $28-60 pp. No way would I pay more than $30
  2. I got it for $22 and would do it again for that price but not more than $30. I didn't find the food to be more upscale than anywhere else on the island but YMMV. I wish I had been feeling better that day so I could have checked the area out more. For that reason, I'll probably book again for the price I cited.
  3. From Royal Caribbean web page In order to safely board most tenders, guests must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair. In addition, motorized wheelchairs and mobility scooters can not be taken on tenders, unless roll-on capability is available. Inquire about tender roll-on capability at Guest Relations Desk while on board. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/accessible-cruising/additional-assistance#:~:text=In order to safely board,Relations Desk while on board.
  4. It isn't only crew. This happened last year on my Harmony cruise https://apnews.com/article/restroom-camera-cruise-ship-9bc176b06e00e59c270416d7ba3250ee There's all kinds of weirdos out there
  5. My last cruise I was in a connecting balcony but not with anyone I was cruising with. The outside balcony door between cabins was still unlocked when I checked in. The cabin steward used a special tool to lock it. Since housekeeping is only once a day unless in a suite, I'm not sure your steward would want to open it every morning and lock it every night. You can of course lock your sliding glass door to the balcony. It appeared the connecting door inside the cabin was locked or unlocked with an actual key. YMMV
  6. My rez was originally $40, today it's down to $25 incl tax. I just canceled and rebooked
  7. I travel solo...sorry I can't help
  8. I booked the Plus package once on board Ruby Princess on 12/10/2023. The charge was added to my folio minus the $10 fee for the Medallion
  9. I'm currently on Enchanted, leaving tomorrow after 20 days. It's been great. Never saw many kids until today...but then again, I don't do the pool deck on sea days or probably would have seen more. The kids I saw today were with parents (that's a plus) and seemed well behaved. I'll be back 12/20/24 for another 20 days to cover Christmas, New Years and my birthday. If you want to do a holiday sailing, I think Princess ships are your best option. Princess attracts fewer families with small children than the other lines I've been on (NCL, RCCL and Carnival). Have fun with whatever you choose to do!
  10. Absolutely. I just turned Pinnacle with all cruises comped...sort of - I, of course, pay via my gambling in the casino
  11. I've seen it 7 times and will see it again in January. It is visually very appealing - and I love the violin and drumming. Whether kids will like it - depends on their ages and interests. The story is just chapters from several different books. I find the first 10 minutes to be boring but then everything picks up and I find it fun to watch
  12. I've done it a few times on Serenade, Adventure and Harmony in the past year. The food is very good. Depending on the chef, it's interesting when they explain exactly how they prepare each course. If you don't have the drink package, it's especially worth the price. A welcome drink, one glass of wine with each course (5 courses) and the finale, a salted caramel martini. YMMV but I've had full glasses of wine served. The one I saved the menu from served the following wines: Attems Pinot Grigio, Conundrum white blend, Peter Yealands Sauvignon Blanc, Rombauer Chardonnay and Beringer Knight Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Although I've gone 3 times so far and the menu (other than the wines) is exactly the same each time you may want to do it one and done. It's good to experience at least once imo
  13. I called and told them I needed them to add the credit right away - I wanted to shop for beverage package, etc. I didn't use the credit until on board but that's really none of their business. I want to see the credit when I redeem it, not have to keep checking on it.
  14. It was 5:30 to 9 on Harmony a couple of weeks ago
  15. yes, it's 7 night Harmony out of Galveston. Woodford Reserve - includes welcome party, private tasting dinner, exclusive mixology class (sorry, tried to attach original, but couldn't get it to work) Also says "several very special events throughout the sailing"
