  1. Sept 29 and btb Oct 6, 2023 Ovation of Seas RCCL is not allowing because Victoria and Vancouver are not far away ports in eye of this law. So cancel both or choose one. Or add a 15 day to New Zealand. The took our money in Mar and Final pay July 3 and on July 8 sent us a letter about cancel. Why did they let this happen if the law was in effect for some time. Devatasted.

  2. (hope this information isn't a repeat)

Looking over the deck plans for Harmony of the Seas, I noticed on deck 17 there is a Suite Lounge and the Diamond Club is on deck 4. They will probably remove Diamond Plus and higher access to the Suite Lounge. The Diamond Club seems to be connected to the Jazz Club which I guess will be for the overflow.

I heard rumor about separating the two.

Yes I contacted C & A and they verified n concierge, this seems like making us go to bars on board rather than the concierge. Rccl stated we can go to diamond lounge deck 4 which does not even have windows. What a shame, more take away.

  3. Hi everyone - first report. Let me caveat, I love Royal and am ridiculously positive, enough to be accused being a cheerleader (read my reviews), so for me to say something negative, is very rare.

I have a friend on board who email me and stated no computers were working at any bar. Free alcohol and on board credit given for the first day nightmare. Are there any other things gone wrong since day 1

  4. I was part of the test group and RCCL cancelled all our reservation which originally included this restarant. They just made it right. I will not post again, i am waiting to see what happens after the first sailings. I did not want to ruffle feather Dave 85.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise on this beautiful ship. Bon V.

  5. we have been diamond plus for some time. I spent I hour with C and A Rep. who said we could book. But we must do on ship, so we will see. I see now that there is computer problems all weekend and you no longer can choose dining or entertainment as of Oct 25 from your reservation. We only have 6 dinners and all shows. So Dec 1 will be the date we will find out.

I will continue to call C and A rep to get our dinners reserved or must do on board.

I posted this because we have been told so many different things. All i know things will be worked out by then and there will be plenty of food on board and entertainment. The new program of dynamic dining has had many issues, just read on Cruise Critic. So if we do not talk about all the info we have been given, we do not know what others know.

So if we get coastal kitchen, see you there, if not enjoy.

Email from C and A today, making our coastal kitchen reservations they lost due to the computer problems. We are diamond plus and not in a JS or above, but per the mail we will get dinner for the cruise and /or breakfast or lunch at coastal kitchen .Yeah. They finally fixed it, we were part of the original group in the first bookings. I feel at rest now.

    All have a great trip.

  6. Hello everyone! We are the Quantum Live Reporters who will be on the Maiden Transatlantic Voyage from Southampton, England to Cape Liberty, NJ on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas (November 2 through November 10). Hard to believe that we’ll be on this beautiful new ship in just TWO WEEKS! We will use this thread as our Live Reporting thread, so please subscribe to it.

We know that new ships cause a flurry of excitement, and we’re so happy to be some of the first passengers to share all that Quantum of the Seas has to offer. We assembled from our Roll Call because we knew that it would take a small army to cover all that is Quantum of the Seas. We will take a lot of photos, and if you’re on our sailing, and would like to join us, just post to our Roll Call, and we’ll be in touch.

Leading up to our November 2 voyage, we will be counting down toward our cruise date by posting recaps on the many exciting WOWs that Quantum of the Seas as to offer, and also we’ll share more about us as we all bring a little different perspective to how we each approach cruising.

Our Roll Call also has 12 events planned over the eight day sailing, including a Flash Mob proposal, a Bumper Car launch and a Masquerade Dinner at The Grande. We’re going to have a lot of fun!

We look forward to your comments, questions and feedback to make this the BEST Live Report on Cruise Critic yet!

  8. I think that you got some bad information. I was at the dining reveal in NYC and that is not what I was told. Also, I am diamond plus and I could not book Coastal Kitchen when I was booked in an outside room. When I moved to suite, then I was able to book it. If they let everyone who is Diamond Plus to book Coastal Kitchen, there would not be any room in the restaurant for suites.

I am on the Nov. 21 sailing so I will report back.

    Please do

  9. Never until this reservation has there been any problems. We booked May 27 did our dining and entertain. etc for the dining and entertainment to be gone when we printed our set and sail. C and A has helped get us 6 dinners and all entertainment. I do not complain, but this has been a nightmare the past 2 wks.

As of today, no more is there a place to try to get dynamic dining or entertainment. Computer has been down all weekend and could not get through on phone.

So I have never had issues until this Dec cruise. Pray they get the issues resolved before Friday when it well be near sailing time.

  10. Yes there are reservations we made some 2 months ago. They have a new log in and you make your own reservations. They lost those we had made, and we worked with a rep who could get us 3 reservations for dinner. I found out that the 5 complimentary restaurants will be able to seat people who have no reservations as table is available like the anytime dining. That makes me feel a lot better. Dec 1 sailing only has 8 to 9:45pm time slots for meal reservations. So there are a few gliches in the systems but all of us have to give it time. we are diamond plus so we have seen alot of challenges which have always been resolved by RCCL.

Update, C and A got us all entertainment and 6 dinners. Lots of incorrect info out about the reservations. As of this weekend, any time you go to your reservation to try to get other dining the system has been down and now there is no place on the reservation to book dining or entertainment. Big computer problems.

  12. As of today Oct 24, 2014, we are diamond plus and in a deluxe bal rm . RCCL states that diamond plus and above will be able to eat at the Coastal Kitchen. The Rccl rep could not book any times due to more computer problems. They suggest doing them on board. But as with all dinner reservations it has been trial and error to get them. So I will give them a chance to make it right on board.

  13. We had problems for Dec 1 cruise when the reservations made for dining and shows were canceled. We worked with C & A rep who got a couple. Then i have gone in every day to book and have now have 7 dinners and 4 shows booked. The rep says that on board things can be arranged. We are diamond plus and have option of the Coastal Kitchen for dinner so hope we can can get in for a couple of our nights with no reservations. we we also go to a pay restaurant for the other 2 nights. It has been a nightmare for the reservation services, but it is slowly coming together. The rep said that the 4 comp restaurants have 400 seats, so they should be able to seat people without reservations. So we all need to give it a chance. As long as the fix the problems with the trushters and give the ship to RCCL on time. That is the only problem i can see at this time. It will be all okay once the ship is afloat and here i the US.

Rccl is a great company and all should be fine. Here's hoping for a great sailing for us all.
