I really hope the storm has calmed and everyone has stayed safe.

Just catching up after a couple of days away and now the countdown is on for Copenhagen. Great commentary and beautiful photographs. Slightly concerned about the Covid cases and just hope our tests are negative so we can board and enjoy the trip to Stockholm.

Same on my I-pad, I struggled to read it.

That’s good news. I have avoided it so far and been so very careful it would be annoying to catch it while on hols . On our last cruise in April pretty much 95% of passengers were still wearing masks though I realise now things are changing. See you all in a few weeks.

So what ship/suite was loud?
Suite 900 on deck 9 on Voyager. The noise did stop us sleeping most of the night and also my husband could feel a slight vibration when his head was on the pillow.
Looking back we should have complained first evening though we were both just so tired we were hoping we would eventually fall asleep.
I haven’t seen any other complaints so we are guessing the air con unit may just have had an issue which coincided with our date and it a,so affected the psssngers right opposite us in the corridor.- 1

We were in Voyager suite 900 on the 9th floor and it was very noisy as it appears there was an air-conditioning unit just behind us. When we booked I did try putting this suite in the search engine though nothing came up . On embarking we didn’t notice as the television was on and it was just when going to room later we really noticed the noise and also my husband was noticing a slight vibration once he out his head on the pillow. The following day our neighbours right across the corridor were also being moved also due to the noise which made us question why would they initially use those suites. It was definitely not a good start to our first cruise with Regent. I hope this will help others.

Thank you so much. I shall go and have a look so we can hopefully add our one.

We were initially given a suite which appeared to be beside an air-conditioning unit and had very little sleep the first evening. The following morning after we spoke to reception they said they would try to move us and we later saw the passengers opposite us were also moving and they said exactly the same as us about the noise. I thought it would be helpful if there was a post about any suites onboard that did cause problems and I just cant see anything.

Thank you for the replies. I shall contact Regent. I wasn’t on iPad much at all as the Wi-Fi was so poor so I didn’t realise the end of cruise survey was online after receiving the paper one mid-week and it just mentioned at end of cruise we could comment on staff etc and then we didn’t receive anything.
-
First Regent cruise and we received a mid cruise questionnaire which said at end of cruise we would then receive a survey regarding ship, staff etc. We disembarked on Friday and as yet haven’t received anything at all. There are some staff we really would like to mention so I’m just wondering what way this works.

Really enjoying your posts. We just left Voyager on Friday in Lisbon and although we had a very good cruise it seems like many felt it wasn’t up to their standard. Our embarkation in Barcelona couldn’t have been smoother apart from the guy doing the nasal swab as it was the worst I have had. In these times when there will be staff shortages I think we have to make adjustments and we found the staff to be first class. Have a wonderful cruise.

I would like to do a review in a room but I can’t find anywhere online where I can actually post a review if a room to warn others not to book it.

Just disembarked from Voyager yesterday and probably 95% of passengers did wear masks and at check in we were told it was the KN95 that were to be worn as my husband was wearing a different one and had to change it. There are always some who refuse to wear them or put them under their chin though on this cruise thankfully most passengers were great and I didn’t hear about many Covid cases and felt very safe indeed. We visited ports in Spain, Italy and Portugal and even in the streets we were surprised to see so many wearing masks though probably looked so different for us due to U.K. now being so lax. I felt very safe indeed and it was great on our cruise which was Barcelona to Lisbon that so many passengers did help keep us all safe.

Hi, we would have been joining you at the Holiday Inn en route to Rome if I hadn’t tested positive yesterday!
Absolutely gutted!
Hope you have a great cruise and looking forward to your posts.Maybe Regent will have another sale soon!
So sorry this happened to you. I’m going out nowhere this week in the hope we get on voyager very soon. Boatman’s Lady, thank you for the update. We hope to be on ship after you, fingers crossed.

If you are willing to share a table (click that option), it is usually easier to get an earlier reservation.
Thank you. Pre-Covid we loved to share a table though these days I’m just not too sure.

We have found if you approach the Chartreuse Maire'd the day your board and let her/him know that your would like to dine there at your preferred time if an availability opens, often works. I also have spoken with the Restaurant Manager who also can be of assistance for your preferred reservations.
Thank you so much for the reply. This is our first time with Regent so I just wanted to check.

I’m trying to book online for Chartreuse restaurant and the only time it is showing me for any evening of our cruise is 9 pm which is too late for us. Is it easy when onboard to get an earlier time?

I love SS though for question 4 I would have to say on the cruises we have been on the ship is pretty quiet after 10 pm. We are early 60’s and would say again on the cruises we have done probably most are in their 50’s upwards. We met a fantastic couple in their 80’s who would have been up for partying all night so I don’t let the age demographic put us off. I realise though every cruise is completely different so I’m just going on the ones I have been on.
we just drink wine and have always found it to be very good.

I have also just received the email stating this. Might be on same cruise if it’s 5th April.

We have been told for so long that masks are mandatory and really help fight against the virus so I’m so surprised to read now regent are lifting this restriction. I wish they had said this before I made my final payment as I’m really not keen to be on a cruise if no-one will be wearing a mask. I know it can be my choice to wear one though if no-one else is it just wouldn’t feel right and I’m not looking forward at all now to our cruise in April😢

I’m surprised the buffet is self-serve now. The thought of so many people touching the serving utensils during these times just seems madness. Cruised in Oct with SIlversea and the staff served at the buffet and it worked really well.

We are due to pay this week for an upcoming Regent cruise and we are going ahead with it as we did a cruise in October and it was just so perfect. I have been so nervous throughout this whole pandemic so it was a big deal to go ahead with the Cruise. It was with a different line and from the moment we stepped onboard every reservation I had just disappeared. Two weeks of absolute bliss and having to wear a mask when walking about really wasn’t as bad as we thought . Luckily every passenger did adhere to this and I felt extremely safe indeed and for two weeks totally forgot about Covid and from someone who really was pretty much hibernating I hope this helps anyone else who is nervous. I now can’t wait for the cruise in April.

Last time we cruised and were eating in Blu we we’re so unimpressed we ate in the MDR. I was really disappointed as had been looking forward to Blu.
