  1. We have Verizon and as soon as we are at sea I have always gotten a text from Verizon telling me text prices. For our last cruise (NCL) last November it was 50 cents to text and 5 cents to receive. I left instructions with the pet sitter to text me every day and I would not respond unless they had a question or a problem. It worked great!

  2. Our last cruise (11-14) was on the NCL Epic and the cruise before that was the Celebrity Constellation.

We took 6 bottles of wine with us, no problem to take as many as you want and just after security you are charged $15 per bottle corkage and they sticker each bottle. You can drink it anywhere on the ship and I even carried an open bottle from a restaurant to a bar.

We stayed in Aqua class on X and we were in a Haven Suite on NCL. We enjoyed the food in Blu. On NCL we were in a specialty restaurant evey night and it was the best food we have ever had on a cruise. We are our breakfast and lunches in the Haven dining room and that was also very, very good. Our NCL also was the best cruise overall we have ever been on but we were in the Haven, I know that makes a big difference! The Haven dinner menu is the same every night with an off menu special each night.

If prices were similar I would book the Haven on the Epic every time. But we got an incredible deal on that cruise and the prices are higher for next year. So our next two cruises are an Aqua class (5 night group cruise) and then we are going to try a sky suite on the Reflection.

I hope that was some help for you!!

  3. I have sailed on DCL 7 times and on X once with two more X cruises booked at this time. I have always thought Disney does adults better than any other cruise line but we LOVED our X cruise. Having the free drink package that not only includes alcohol but also includes canned soda, bottled water and signature coffee drinks was soooo awesome! We hit the coffee bar multiple times each day. On DCL we would only hit cove cafe a few times.

At this time X has my business as DCL has gotten too expensive!!

  4. Thank you so much to every one that has compared Celebrity to MSC YC. We have a sky suite booked for fall 2016 and I have been considering changing to MSC YC. I have been reading all I can find about YC and the overwhelming majority loved it. The rest of the ship gets the worst reviews I have seen! So surprised that they can do YC so well and be so bad for everywhere else.

    Lots to ponder!

  5. In Miami ours was also on a hand written receipt and showed up on our account later.

We went thru the security scanner and there was a table just past that for them to document each bottle and place the sticker on each bottle.

We had each bottle wrapped in a towel (kitchen towel) and stuck them in a wheeled box. It was a pain to get them back into the box so if we ever do it again we will purchase padded bags specifically made for wine at our local wine store.

I also took 6 bottles on. Did not do my wine the first night because it needed to chill more. The prices of our wine plus cork fee were definitely cheaper than a bottle plus gratuity on the ship.

  6. Still have to convince hubby that this could be better than the Sky suite on Celebrity!

The Y1, Y2 and Y3 would all be less than the deal we have booked on Celebrity. But we also have free gratuities, $300 OBC and the drink package on Celebrity.

We have been on Celebrity before but not in a suite, we were in Aqua Class and loved having the private dining room. We have also sailed on NCL in the haven and it was the best cruise we have ever been on but the haven prices are MUCH higher than what we are paying for Celebrity and higher than the prices I am seeing for MSC. So I have lots to ponder!!

    Thanks for all the help!!

  7. I am considering a change from our booked Celebrity cruise next fall in a spa suite with drink package and grats included to the MSC Divina Yacht Club next fall. I am wonder about what kinds of drinks are included in the Yacht Club.

Drinks I would want to have would be soda, lattes, prosecco wine, margaritas, mimosas, rum punch or rum runners, baileys, and a Cosmo. Would all of that be included?

    Thank you!!

  8. Hello! We just booked a cruise on the Reflection in a Sky Suite.

Do Sky Suites get access to Bearfoot Beach? All I can find about Labadee is with RCCL and they don't give access to the least expensive suite so I wasn't sure we would get it!

Also, can we rent a cabana? It sounds like they are only reserved once you are on the ship with Celebrity?

And last question, can we use our drink packages on Labadee??

    Thanks for the help!!
