  1. Good grief! That looks dangerous and repulsive....but strangely tempting πŸ€”!
  2. Congratulations and I wish you many years of health to enjoy loads of cruises and, maybe, a little gambling! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.
  3. Indeed, the ship plan/schematic in the hallway just off reception states River Voyager. Nice ship and great crew. You will enjoy it. Ken
  4. We had a French Balcony on our Gate1 river cruise on the Danube in August. We only stood at it for a few minutes, maybe in the morning or late afternoon. We went up on the top deck any other times. The stateroom is too small for much 'lounging' unless you have a suite. However, if we had had a real balcony, I'm sure we would have enjoyed sitting out there enjoying a drink as we sailed along. Remember, the side of the ship your stateroom is on will dictate whether your balcony is sunny or not, depending on whether you are travelling upstream or downstream and whether you are rafted to another ship in the evening or morning.
  5. Can't believe it's over, Bea!! Thanks for taking us along! Ken
  6. Hi. There's a vlogger on YouTube called Mrcoaster1 who put up videos of Brilliance and Alaska recently. Ken
  7. Looking forward to your trip report, Bea! Bon Voyage! Getting very nippy here so enjoy the Mediterranean weather! Ken
  8. I've uploaded a screenshot of a post by a member named Scott. Hope you can use it. Ken
  9. That was the highlight of our trip. Wasn't expecting it, it was amazing. Also, the Kiwi exhibit is much better than the one in Queenstown, due to use of red light. Great place. Ken
  10. Kia Ora, Colbe. We had a wonderful month in your beautiful country earlier this year. Highlights were Waitangi and Rotorua. Looking forward to your trip report. Ken
  11. I remember Jim and his adventures, moving to the country, riding around on his Kubota and making improvements to the drainage, fending off the wildlife and, of course, his plan to reconstruct his model railway. It was sad to follow along with his health investigations and he shared so much and openly. He was fond of a particular RCI ship, I think it was Vision or Radiance. So sad to hear that Tom and Judith have passed away. RIP Judith, Jim and Tom.
  12. Someone has posted on the HAL board the the ship docked in Haifa for a planned 3 day stop and they were recalled to the ship from their excursion and the ship is sailing to Cyprus and Turkey instead. Ken
  13. Hi. Yes, European plugs and US plugs in the cabins. More European plugs, I think. Ken
  14. On our river cruise in August, when we assembled in Prague for the 'Prague extension', we were asked for our Covid certs even though they are not required in any of the countries we were visiting. I would carry in case events turned during my cruise, sea or river. Ken
  15. Thank goodness! I hope you can open the video. Sea near Fethard on Sea where my friend lives. VID-20230927-WA0006.mp4
  16. I think we're getting away lightly this storm. It seems nasty in the south of the country. Hope it's not caused you any damage. 🀞Ken
  17. Say safe, Bea. Hope it's not as bad as predicted! 🀞 Ken
  18. @pontac I really enjoyed your trip report and, as a result of same, I would be interested in a similar itinerary. I also enjoyed your fair and reasonable criticism of certain aspects of the trip. Thank you. Ken
  19. Had to Google that! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… My 2c: can't remember any CD. Dreaded seeing them at the start of the shows especially on MSC where they repeat their intro in 5 other languages!
  20. We docked, on Monarch Queen, beside the Central Market Hall. G maps show it as 2.5km walk to Parliament. We walked it on our last, independent, day, from the Dohany St. Synagogue. It's not as long as from the ship but it was very taxing due to the heat. Along the way you come across the 'shoes by the Danube' memorial which is worth seeing. Of course the exact dock location may vary but I would say not by much. Ken
  21. She's adorable! Looking forward to your trip report! Ken
  22. Loving your live review. Continued good health to you and best wishes to your mum on her birthday and upcoming treatment! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
  23. The trams are yellow! Shoes by the Danube. These victims were shot by Hungarian police who were challenged and stopped by braver colleagues. Parliament Building There are many better pics on this forum but this was our view. As it was very hot, we took cover at this stage.
