  1. Thanks and yep, I totally agree...hard acts to follow for sure but hearing a daily fact/teaser is also good. Always handy to learn a little something new, especially as partaking in the daily trivia games is definitely something I look forward to with even fiercer competition on crossings. Thanks again! ☺️
  2. Thanks so much for this wonderful review. ☺️ πŸ‘ I'll be on the upcoming Apr 22 transatlantic and as it will be my first time on Reflection, your blog has been very helpful. I did want to ask about the captain. His name is not familiar. I think it was mentioned we would have the same one and wanted to know if you remembered his daily midday announcements, etc... I always enjoy captains who incorporate a little humor, namely Greek brothers Tasos and Dimitrios Kafetzis, equally hilarious, who generally had the ship in stitches on prior crossings. πŸ˜…
  3. It is rumored (although Celebrity has yet to confirm) that our upcoming Reflection transatlantic will be docking at nearby Ringaskiddy port instead of Cobh, Ireland. From what I have read, Ringaskiddy is a major industrial port located across the river from Cobh which appears to put cruise passengers at a major disadvantage as there seems to be no transportation or anything within walking distance. Hoping someone reading this has made a cruise stop in Ringaskiddy and can give information such as what is within walking distance of the ship and what local transportation is available? Also, did your cruiseline offer shuttles to Cobh or Cork and were the shuttles free? Thanks in advance!
  4. That little Blue feature will definitely come in handy, especially when picking folks up at the airport. Can't tell you how many times I'm stuck "orbiting the airport" to avoid parking waiting for that elusive "we've just landed" text....thanks!!
  5. Thank you for the reassurance about my upcoming flight. I just got off the phone with Delta who basically said the same. Looks like I just might make it after all. πŸ˜‰ Thanks also for recommending Flightaware...great website...will definitely come in handy on future travels. Mariah
  6. Jim, thanks for writing this blog and congrats on making Zenith! I'm another who'll be joining you on this crossing and reading all the comments from you and others has been incredibly helpful. Must say Tropical Storm Oscar is making me a bit nervous. Not because of the cruise itself as I'm sure the captain will keep the ship safe, but in looking at your map, I'll be flying directly across its path Thursday night JFK - London Heathrow. Btw, I also scored Delta One business class at similar price using Choice Air. Nothing like being able to fully recline on an overnight and crossing fingers the weather won't cause havoc on flights. Wondering if you're worried about the same as I believe you're leaving Thursday as well. But then again, having survived 2 typhoons, weathering this storm will be more like a cake walk for you. πŸ˜‰ Thanks again and hope to meet you and Iain(love that spelling) onboard! Mariah
