  1. We were in the Haven on Joy and that hot tub on the sundeck didn't have bubbles either. We thought it was broken, but now it seems that's how NCL's hot tubs are. (I like bubbles).πŸ˜”
  2. If you go on Beyond do your research on what cabin you select. There are reports that Beyond is very noisy (creaks and bowling-ball sounds from within the walls). Not all cabins, but bring ear plugs just in case.

    Gouda Cheese

We didn't buy it in Aruba, because we ran out of time, But I know they have them, and the prices are best in the supermarkets. We bought our Gouda in a store in Curacao. We bought a 10 lb/ wheel so, yes, it was wrapped in wax. We gave some to our neighbors. We came home on Dec. 4 and are just finishing it now. I think the price was about $40.
  4. We usually get there between l0:30 and 11:00. Never had a problem finding a spot.
  5. We were considering the Haven on Epic. I had read that it was, by far, the nicest. However, the price for the Haven (an older ship, and not in the greatest shape) is higher than the Breakaway and Breakaway + ships. Also, I'd rather sail from Miami.
  6. How is the Haven on Jade? Does it have its own restaurant?
  7. OK, thanks. That's what we're most used to.
  8. Are you required to insert your card at all? Can you not just put $ in? ...and get a TITO when you cash out? (I have a tendency to forget my card.)
  9. I am digesting every word of your comparison. Thanks so much for sharing.
  10. Captain Kate walks around with a bodyguard?
  11. We'll be in Coastal Kitchen. How is the dining room lobster prepared if Coastal does poached? Broiled? Which do most people like better?
  12. Is there lobster night on a 6 night cruise on Symphony of the Seas?
  13. I find this very confusing. If I am in a suite and in Coastal Kitchen for dinner, can I order a cocktail from the Suite Lounge (it'll be Happy Hour)? Or if I want it complimentary, do I have to get up from my table and physically order it from the suite lounge. My understanding is that the suite lounge and Coastal Kitchen are one big room.
  14. Is it just me? I found getting into the water on Labadee (the suite beach, I've forgotten the name, is it Barefoot) treacherous. I fell (flat on my face) getting in. The sand was very soft and at an incline. I watched and saw no one else fall, so it was just me that provided the comic relief that day, but now I hesitate to go back to the beach because of this.
  15. I'd be interested in your opinion of Celebrity vs. Holland America. I think you will still prefer X. But I could be wrong.πŸ˜€
  16. Looking forward to reading your review. We are on Symphony in April, also in a Crown Loft Suite. Are you on the back or side?
  17. If you called to tell them your preferences, do you have to call again (each time you cruise). Our first time as Diamond, we didn't receive anything. The second time we did (water), but I had called before the cruise. Do I have to do this again?
  18. I know that many cruise lines only do room cleaning once a day. However, I thought that suites were excluded from this. We were recently on Rotterdam in a Vista A (I know, not really a suite....but). We were asked by our room steward if we wanted room cleaning once a day or twice. I was sort of surprised we were asked this.
  19. I thought the Cherrios were a joke, too.
