Why don't pax (you???) address the crew member and ask for change. If nothing occurs I'd go find a supervisor and bring them to the site.

Well, as long as we're talking, we were in SE Asia on a land trip. 100F and 95% humidity!

I can't even imagine buying clothes for a cruise or really any other travel. If it's warm destination I just pull out stuff from my summer 'wardrobe.' Honestly, what's up with that please?

If a ship required it I wouldn't travel with them. Stupid.

I was chatting with a United pilot a couple of years ago. Re 9/11 he said they went from hijacking to terrorism overnight. Just an fyi.

Talk about small ships! The one for our Norwegian coastal cruise was the Lofoten, the oldest one in their fleet, and now retired. Only 100 pax. And, yes, we had pax who were on and off, perhaps shopping at one port and then going home. They had their own area but it was really nice with boothw and bar right there! Also freight. There was a small crane at the front. IIRC we made 17 stops in each direction, all day and all night. And we never woke up. The staff were terrific and the officers were at breakfast every morning. The food really good. I think there were only two other Americans which we really liked. Some spoke English and some didn't. Regarless super nice. (I could go on and on.)

I'm partial to Hurtigruten which was founded in 1893 (had to look it up). We did their Antarctica cruise a few years ago and liked it so much we did their round trip Norwegian coastal cruise.

And help save the planet in the process. From the person who buys shoes made from recycled water bottles!

I call it our "what if" bag and just recently checked for really old stuff. A year or so, no problem.

But last trip to France, not a cruise, I took the meds in the little plastic boxes and I printed from Mychart (does everybody have that?). All in a large zipping bag. The TSA people appreciated it.

I'm trying to figure out the words to explain what I'm thinking. Maybe it's that LCD thing and more. If "nice" jeans are okay, who determines what isn't "nice"? The maitre de'? How about t-shirts? How far is too far? Etc. Just my thought.

Didn't travel except for RVing for three years or so. Yellowstone for the first time and I've lived in the West for decades. And other Western treats. Not sure how much cruising we'll do. We've been thinking about parts of Western Europe and doing trains. We'll see.

Really? As far as I can remember we were the only ship in the area where we could disembark. That was about three years ago, pre-covid, so maybe it's changed.
