  1. I understand, however, we have never been on any Princess ship with anything other than the wood. I appreciate your post. Even the Sky, last June, had the wood.
  2. Sapphire! Many love the Coral, but we were not a fan. We booked it because it was for the old locks through the Panama Canal. We love the style and features of the Sapphire,
  3. No problem. I remember seeing the railings in varying states of condition and smelling the varnish.
  4. All of the Princess ships we have been on have had wood railings.
  5. There is both fresh fruit and canned fruit offered. I would bet that the canned fruit has sugar but you also ask.
  6. I am sorry you seem to have singled me out- I guess I am part of the famous "they" now. I thought that we are supposed to share our thoughts on CC. Call me incorrect.
  7. I never said the word hate... that is a very strong word. Preference is more accurate; especially when one's body has a gene that turns your body into a cholesterol factory, regardless of medications or herbs, etc.
  8. I have seen other posts that the Caymus Winemaker's Dinner is $140.00
  9. Many people use Blackberry Cars. We used them once to get from LHR to our London Hotel. They are mentioned often on the "Old" thread for these transfers.
  10. When the Grand was 5 hours late departing in Vancouver, BC the Captain very quickly gave each person (not cabin) $125.00 in OBC. Because of the late departure, we would be missing a port.
  11. That is also a great idea!
  12. Lovely review. Maybe we will be on the Discovery someday. I think you may have sold me on the Sanctuary (if I can run up there fast enough).
  13. That is what we thought. It was either $125.00 or $150.00. The Captain and about 8 Officers also attended our CC Meet & Greet.
  14. Oh yeah, I really do now think we are related! 🤣
  15. I feel the same. I have much affection for the Golden (sold) and the Grand, even the Crown. To us, this is Princess. I too wish that she had better maintained. We loved the Grand when sailing a long itinerary Alaska cruise in September 2022 out of Vancouver. We were about 5-6 hours late leaving port due to an engine issue. We left the dock (barely) and then backed right back in. Thankfully, it was fixed but the itinerary was changed and we missed a port; Icy Strait I think. The Captain was a sweetheart and EVERY PERSON (not cabin), received $125.00 in OBC.
  16. Go to www.overlordtour.com This is the company that we used as well as many on our cruise. They book up FAST! But, you can get on the wait list.
  17. Absolutely! And also for the Plus package. Those "creations" look disgusting. Gelato would save dollars in supplies and labor.
  18. I am sorry, but I don't have any experience with that. However, I think you have a great chance! At least you will be ahead of the majority.
  19. The balcony is long but not deep. It is as deep as the smaller balconies on the ship. Therefore, this is a cabin we would not book.
  20. For that port, we booked a tour to Beaches of Normandy and it was well worth it. Otherwise, we were not impressed with the so-called "Welcome to Americans with money to spend". What a joke. The rudeness was palpable. This happened in a little town on our way back for a lunch stop. And also in another little stop in a town on the way back to the ship.
  21. I guess we wonder how that group (those who shall not be named) were able to make that happen with the officers.
  22. One floor will be more like traditional dining, at a slower pace. One floor will be more casual and dining at a faster pace. Then there is one in the middle (physically and concept wise). Sorry about that... see post #1728- much better explanation.
