  1. Is the martini tasting included with Cheers?

    No, it is not.

It is a package deal -- $17 to taste 4 small (5 oz) martinis -- there are 8 varieties, and you get to pick 4. If you do it with another person, you can each pick 4 different ones, and taste them all that way.

DH and I did it on the Legend and it was a blast! :D

  2. We did a spring break cruise several years ago with our daughter, who was then 15 or 16.

We had a good time, but everything was very crowded and tons of kids, as you might imagine.

The pools all were open -- the weather was hot, but we sailed out of Miami.

  3. A guidebook from your library is what you want....it will tell you EVERYTHING there is...price estimates, transportation options, food, shopping, safety, etc... a library book is free to use!

    This!:)

Frommer's Caribbean Ports of Call has a wealth of information about all of the Caribbean ports, including ST and SM. Both are beautiful islands with tons of history -- please don't go all that way and then not see them! Heck, we love just walking around in the picturesque downtowns of Charlotte Amalie and Philipsburg.

    Have a great cruise!

  4. Last cruise (Legend) we stayed onboard for the first time when we were in Belize.

There were several trivia games and a scavenger hunt. But the best thing we did was the martini tasting. (it is offered every day at specified times/ designated bar.). It was a BLAST! Since DH and I were both tasting, and each person gets to try 4 of the 8, we got the whole line. I believe it was $17 PP.

    So much tasty fun! :D

  5. Wow, sounds as if you had a good cruise and awesome accommodations!

Please remind me about the Conquest ships - which deck is it that does NOT go through all the way? I can't remember, and we sail on Liberty in 15 days.

Thanks so much for posting - your kind of review is actually my favorite: "just the factsJack"! :)

  6. Had an issue one time only, long time ago.

Got my husband's bag, but mine did not show up. We went to Guest Services after dinner, and they took us to a room with several bags in it and there it was!

It had been raining hard when we boarded, and the old paper tag (they used to mail you) was a sodden mess and illegible -- there were several others in the same "boat" :p

Now I laminate the bejeesus out of the tags! :D

  7. As long as ES has been around you have been unable to price match to a guarantee cabin (super saver, pack and go, etc).

There has not been a conspiracy to keep you from saving money. You were just not aware of all of the rules.

  8. They could "easily stop here using tenders, but have chosen not to.

Having been here, it is a port pretty much down on my list. The fact that the most popular tour is to leave Tortola says it all.

We went to Tortola on Freedom, stayed on the island and LOVED it! Beautiful! It is our favorite port.

  9. Not asking for "proof", however CCL follows their rules to a "T"....and on Aug 31 it is only 45 days to your sailing date......well AFTER final payment date......there are NO price reductions, OBC or money returned to credit cards for cabin price drops at that time for ANY rate other than ES! So please pardon me, but I am NOT a believer.....CCL does not love you more than any other pax that they are unwilling to break their rules for.....sorry!!! they do not stay in business breaking their own rules, thus giving out $$$$ (even in the form of credit to credit cards) AFTER final payment date has passed!!!

Buddylover -- why are you getting your shorts in a wad and behaving like a douche? Who cares? Calm down.

  10. Once you book ES, you remain ES throughout any appropriate price reductions. (You just can't match to the guarantee cabin sales, super-saver, or pack and go rates)

We booked ES, then reduced our fare though a match on a past guest sale, then matched a senior rate sale, then matched a Florida sale (also was able to upgrade our to Lido balcony at no cost during this sale), then two more past guest sales!

    ES is a wonderful thing.
