  1. In the last two months, I've been able to get them on Oasis, Allure, Liberty, Indy, and Freedom. I hope they don't stop giving them out.
  2. If you ever are required to insert your sea pass card, ask the Casino Host for a white card. It’s quick and easy.
  3. I called and it was confirmed that July 22 is the inaugural cruise. I booked a balcony guarantee and paid the $200 non-refundable deposit.
  4. I purchase the Voom Surf and Stream multiple-device package, so the cost is not huge. Plus, IMO it would not be right to take a teen’s phone away since that's how they communicate to meet up with other teens. It's their vacation too, and deserve it after working hard all school year.
  5. For several years now, we have been using a clear phone case with a card slot. It has worked the best for my family, including teens and seniors. The case is available for many different phone models. https://www.amazon.com/ANHONG-Upgrade-iPhone-Protective-Shock-Absorbing/dp/B08K73BTWZ?th=1
  6. Yes. On my sailings, I have purchased the 50-minute Swedish massage for $103 plus gratuity. I usually book the appointment for after sail away.
  7. I enjoy getting a massage on embarkation day. It really is a perfect way to start your cruise. My advice is to book it for after the ship leaves port because the announcements are broadcast in the treatment rooms. There are lots of announcements and reminders made throughout the day. Definitely do not book it within the hour before leaving port because the emergency horn, seven short blasts followed by one long blast will disrupt a relaxing massage. After much trial and error, I have found that after sail away or late evening can be the most enjoyable time for an embarkation day massage.
  8. When my DS(18) brings friends on cruises, I get a notarized letter from the parents giving me permission to take their child out of the country, seek medical attention, and make medical decisions on their behalf.
  9. Same! My dad and I chose the Grandeur for the same reasons. I’m looking forward to walking on the real teak deck.
  10. On the November 13, 2022 sailing we had the original freestyle cup.
  11. Here’s a video of 7206. Cabin tour begins around 2:10. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/youtube.php?id=11252
  12. I recently cruised solo on Liberty in a casino comp balcony cabin. The original reservation was for my DS and me, but he missed boarding time due to work. I got the port and tax fees back, but did not get double points. I called C&A and they said I do not get double points because we didn't cancel my DS 30 days before the cruise. I didn't know he was going to be at work late and miss boarding. Has anyone experienced not getting double points?
  13. I booked two OV balconies for January 27, 2024 early this morning. Only 460 days to go! 😎
  14. Not sure how this information is incorrect since it’s from the C&A website. “If you are a new guest, there is no need to sign up for Crown & Anchor Society. You will be automatically enrolled after you complete your first sailing with Royal Caribbean International (applies to US Residents). Membership benefits begin after you have completed at least one Royal Caribbean International cruise.”
  15. If your SIL hasn’t sailed before, he will be enrolled in C & A after completing his first cruise. The boarding pass should have him listed as pre-gold. I hope the representative overlooks this and grants the match.
  16. You can get milk from room service too. Get as many as you would like to have on hand. Sometimes I forget to grab them and the WJ is closed. Your cabin steward can give you ice twice daily, if the cooler doesn’t keep the milk cold enough. I usually bring gallon ziplock bags to hold the ice and milks, then put it in the cooler.
  17. This happened to me last week on Symphony. My DS and I were eating dinner at Chops when the MDR Head Waiter, Warren, came to ask if we thought we’d be going to the dining room for dinner at any point that week. We said it was unlikely. The reason he wanted to know was there was a list of people who wanted early dining and asked if we’d give it up to accommodate them. We had no problem doing so. Warren was very appreciative. We’ve had the MDR Head Waiter check-up on us before, but more often it's a phone call.
  18. Did they stop playing movies at night? I know there were many complaints.
  19. On Wonder the is no tranquility for the CP balconies because of the giant movie screen above. They played movies till 2 am every night. We were on the second sailing and my dad had a CP 29 balcony, which he was excited about, but that quickly faded the first night.
  20. I like the boardwalk because you can see the ocean and feel part of the action while relaxing on the balcony. My dad likes the ‘29” double-wide Central Park balconies because of the ambiance at night. Just don't book a CP on the Wonder.
  21. My DS (17) has gone to the teen clubs on Oasis class, Quantum class, Freedom class, and Voyager class ships. He said Oasis of the Seas has the best teen club because of its layout and table games. He’s an only child and has never had a problem meeting other teens to hang out with on each cruise. Two important things for a successful teen club experience are to show up on the first night (don’t be late) and to have the Voom surf and stream package. Most teens will use Snapchat to communicate onboard to meet up during the week.
