You could say the same about anything going to the ship. Let's just say we have had success with having Regent take care of the wine order on all of our cruises and they have never disappointed us.

We have a certain wine that we prefer (introduced to us years ago by Regent but not always available on board). We simply have Regent order in a few cases of it for our own personal enjoyment and use our OBC to pay for it. The Sommelier holds it for us and makes sure we have a bottle whenever/wherever we request it.

Oceania's Insignia usually offers a 180 day world cruise. Quite a nice way to start off retirement.

We will be curious to hear how NCL/CDC propose to get passengers to Honolulu and through the islands if they have to do multiple timely Covid tests for everyone along the way. Each island has their own special rules.

The Pride of America is a unique ship in a unique area, but we feel that it being in Hawaii may pose more Covid-19 and associated problems than NCL wants to handle. Any opinions??

It appears they are a wholesaler, much like Costco Travel for example, so do not think they are the only game in town. Here in Hawaii car rentals are very popular and rather reasonable. The company you are looking at may/may not be a good deal, and the more you research the various companies, the more you may well save. As a side note we found curious, the company you noted supposedly has roots not far from Kahului on Maui (where the POA docks) and describes Kahului as having picturesque narrow streets and recommend a compact car to navigate the area. Well, you need something to help get your pants zipped after all the meals and snacks you'll consume on the cruise!

As far as we know, Marylou's tours are only on the Big Island, which is the island of Hawaii, not Maui.

We aren't pe4all, but you should be able to get some good input about private car tours from the (Cruise Critic) Hawaii forum. From what we have learned over the years, the tours are rather costly (but chalk it up to being on vacation). Yes, ship excursions are expensive - and crowded. Rental cars are a popular alternative.

You might want to make note that, sad to say, the Maui Tropical Plantation is out of business now and the submarines are not running at this time.

Just FYI for everyone: Check out "101 Things To Do On (insert island name)" . This will give you a bit of an idea what is offered on each island so you can go on and research what intrigues you. Do note that businesses here are still opening and closing due to Covid-19, so check for current status. Aloha!

As a "perk" of a Grand Suite on the Silver Spirit, the bar in our suite had Laurent Perrier Rose NV.

This thread seems to have been going along for years, but one thing we didn't see mentioned is that if everyone continues to remove sand from beaches there won't be any beaches anymore.
