Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hello, OP here. Just wanted to clarify. I made this suggestion because even though I understand extension cords without surge protectors are supposedly permitted, I had read posts from people who had plain extensions confiscated. We just didn’t want to take a chance and thought this was a good alternative. Number two, this particular cord is a 10 foot power cord that attaches to cpaps power boxes on the already 5 foot cords, making the entire cord 15 feet. I apologize for not being clear about that. They also came in a pack of 2 for $10, which was we felt was a good deal. Also would like to say that the POA has been a great ship. The staff have been wonderful and we are fully enjoying this cruise! Thank you to everyone who helped me with advice!
  2. We are currently on the POA and are both cpap users. Before we left home we filled out the form for distilled water and extension cord for our room. We received an email from NCL that we may or may not get the cord. Fortunately, before we left my husband had found on Amazon 10 foot cords that are long power cords that fit into the machines and are not extension cords. They work perfectly and cannot be confiscated because they are the power cord for the machine. They are called Omnihil 10 foot power cords cpap compatible. Hope this helps!
  3. Mcmommy, thank you so much! Our first time on NCL and POA. We are excited!
  4. Sailing on the POA around Hawaii in February. Wondering if I need to pack beach towels or the ship has them to use?
  5. We are doing the POA cruise in February 2024. We will be staying in Waikiki for three days before the cruise so we are going to see the Polynesian Cultural Center and Pearl Harbor on our own then. During the cruise we are doing all our excursions through NCL. We have several booked including a whale watch and sunset cruise, the directors cut, Volcano National Park and Haleakala Crater at Sunrise plus various trips to waterfalls, Waimea Canyon, etc. We are fully aware the ship excursions are more costly. My husband feels it is just easier as far as getting back to the ship on time plus he says part of his vacation is not having to drive. This is our 30th anniversary trip and will probably be our only time in Hawaii so we are doing what we feel will be easiest and best for us. If we were younger or possibly going to be going back to the islands, we might be more apt to DIY more excursions, but that is just us. Everyone should do what best suits them.
  6. We are doing the same trip in February for our 30th anniversary. So excited to hear all about your adventures!
  7. The NCL website will not allow me to open the excursion reviews. Is there a way to do this or possibly another place to read reviews of excursions.
  8. Hello, we will be on the Pride of America in February of 2024. We will be in Honolulu for 3 days before the cruise. A whale watching tour is a must do for us. We have never been to Hawaii before and wondering if we should do the whale watching excursions offered by the cruise or if we should book our own. We are open to booking it ourself but not sure of reputable companies and which island would be best. Thanks so much!
