  1. We also did the same. We live in NJ about 15 minutes or less from the Lincoln Tunnel so the port is very close. We spoke about the Sunrise, was excited about the dry dock and complete overhaul of the ship. Then we sat down and looked at the itinerary of the Magic, the fact that the Magic is a weekend to a weekend where the Sunrise was weekday to weekday cruise, just made so much more sense. We also only have been to 1 of the 4 ports of call on the Magic for that trip. To say the least so excited and don't want to wish my life away but August 17th can't come quick enough.

  2. Good evening all,

I'm currently booked on the Carnival Magic in April for what will be my 8th cruise all with Carnival. As the years and cruises go by, the dress in the main dining room has definitely changed. I've have always been a dress slacks and button down shirt with dress shoes on casual nights and Full Suit and tie for the elegant nights. As I watch and see what comes through the dining room these days, I'm wondering is khaki shorts with a button down shirt or polo with a pair of boat shoes is considered acceptable on today's casual dining nights. It would def help me cut down on my packing and also would def be a little more comfortable, but I don't want to look like a bum. Feedback would greatly be appreciated.
