  1. @dani negreanu I never post here, but have to add my prayers for you and your country. I cannot imagine what you are going through and pray that there will be a peaceful end.
  2. Merritt Square was very sad looking the last time I drove past. A lot of stores closed and looked very dirty and unkept. It was the place to go when I was growing up. Melbourne Square a little better, but most stores are only open 11 -7. Brick and mortar stores are becoming a thing of the past.
  3. Thanks for the replies. We are debating canceling this cruise. Just not getting good vibes about this company.
  4. We are new to Margaritaville at Sea and have Islander booked this summer. Can anyone tell me how to set up an account on their website to be able to book drink packages and excursions?
  5. Can you give your opinion on the mattress and pillows? I have heard mixed reviews and am trying to figure out if we need to bring a mattress pad and our own pillows.

Thank you all for your replies. Will definitely book it.

Great, That is exactly what we are considering.

    College Fjord

We are cruising on Princess and will cruise College Fjord. We are planning on 9 nights interior and are considering a tour boat from Whittier that does College Fjord and Blackstone Bay. Has anyone done both? We are concerned that it may just be a repeat of what we saw from the cruise ship, though on a smaller ship. Trying to decide if it is worth the extra money. Thanks.
  9. We are first time Princess cruisers. We have booked a pacific coast cruise from LA to Vancouver next April. When I look at the excursion tab, all it shows is Vancouver. At what point should I expect excursions to populate for San Diego, San Francisco, Astoria, and Victoria? We will mostly do DIY tours but would like to see what Princess is offering.
  10. Great news for us living close to Port Canaveral!
  11. Thanks for all of the replies. I have a positive test from my urgent care yesterday. We will attempt to file and see what happens. Hopefully we can recoup some money from flights or cruise. Getting on a 9 hour flight on Friday is definitely not going to happen.
  12. It is Sunday from Southampton. We would need to fly to London Friday from Florida.
  13. Thanks, that is what I figured.
  14. We need to cancel our upcoming cruise due to my testing positive with Covid. We have insurance through NCL. Do I first reach out to NCL and cancel and then reach out to insurance? Any guidance will be appreciated.
  15. I sail on the NCL Star out of Southampton on May 21st. This will be my third cruise with NCL as I cruise mainly with Royal and Celebrity. If this occurs on our first night and they lie to me and tell me they just found out about it, it will probably be my last cruise with them. If they are honest and say they screwed up, I will consider other cruises with them, based on how the rest of the cruise goes. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
  16. So this also was reported to have occurred on NCL Dawn on May 4th. NCL obviously knew what was required more than 2 days before the May 11th sailing of the Star. The officer at the meet and greet obviously should read cruise critic.
  17. I will be following also as we are on the May 21 cruise. Would like to hear how the tendering process goes. Enjoy your cruise!
  18. Looks like we are taking the refund and flying to Cancun. Cruises are mostly sold out and what cabins are available are extremely higher than what we paid originally. We will make the best of it. May decide we like all inclusives!
  19. We picked this one because it was over my husbands birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. Luckily we are doing the British Isles in May. Really wanted to be on a ship for our celebrations but looks like that won't happen.
  20. Just received the following email: Dear Guest, We're continuously working to enhance our ships and the many amenities they have to offer. Mariner of the Seas is currently undergoing dry dock for routine maintenance and exciting, which will require some extra time for these upgrades to be completed. Regrettably, this means our April 1st, 2023 cruise has been cancelled. We know this news is disappointing and apologize for the impact to your cruise. Your vacation is important to us, along with the flexibility to make the best decision for you and those in your party. Below, we've outlined guest options along with a few additional details. Option 1: Re-book any Royal Caribbean International sailing and receive a Future Cruise Credit. If they prefer to re-book another sailing, we'll waive any non-refundable deposit change fees. Please know, they'll be responsible for any difference in pricing for their cruise fare, taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items. If their booking was already paid in full and their cruise fare rate decreases, we'll provide them with a refund for the difference. They can expect to receive their refund to their original form of payment within 14 business days after we move them. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on their financial institution. They'll also be reimbursed for non-refundable, pre-purchased transportation change fees incurred (such as a flight, train ticket, or rental car). We'll cover up to $200 USD per guest for Domestic changes, or up to $400 USD per guest for International changes. Please email their receipts and booking information to RoyalGuestRelations@rccl.com for review and reimbursement. If they have any travel expenses beyond these amounts, please send us the receipts including a brief summary of these expenses for review. To sweeten the offer, they'll receive a Future Cruise Credit to book a new cruise and sail by April 1st, 2024. This amount is 50% of their original cruise fare paid based. Their certificate can be used on any Royal Caribbean International sailing that departs on or before April 1, 2024. We will automatically issue their Future Cruise Credit via email within 2 weeks from selecting this option. Please note: If they previously used a Future Cruise Credit (FCC), we'll have it reapplied to their new sailing. Option 2: If they can't find a new itinerary that works for them and choose to cancel, we'll be sad to see you go. They'll receive: A full refund of any paid portion of their cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) and any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment within 14 business days. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on their financial institution. If they used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing and they request a refund instead, we'll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount and we'll reinstate their original certificate. 21. Thanks to all. I always over plan. This will be our first inside cabin in at least 15 years. Very port intensive cruise around Ireland, so we thought we would try it.
