Be careful of cross contamination in the WJ by people not aware of the special needs of a gluten free diet, and inappropriate use of utensils.
Someone could just use the tongs or utensils and inadvertantly move them for non-gluten free items to gluten free, thus ruining the food for others not knowing how critical it is.
Best to stay with MDR, or special request areas.
Sea Ya
That's why they have an entirely separate station set up for gluten free meals. There is no way any cross contamination can happen with the way it's set up. :)

Great review so far unc1acc. I'm looking forward to reading more, and seeing more pics. I'm dying to go on a Freedom class ship. :)

Once you get through to the checkout page (the final page) online, you have the option to add people from another booking. :)

I get to walk through and have lunch on her when she's in Fremantle on the 13th of December. I'm looking forward to checking her out. :)

I have a friend who is on Sea Princess at the moment and he reckons that they now have the larger ship models again. I won't see a pic til he disembarks on Dec 3, but has anyone else heard of them going back to the larger models? Maybe it's just the Princess ships based here in Australia...?

On Rhapsody, they even had a whole section of the Windjammer dedicated to GF meals and desserts. :)

If you've booked flights through the cruise line, I'm pretty certain the transfers are included...

Carnival cruises are booked through Polar Online, not Cruising Power. ;)Have no idea why any agent could not find it. If they have access to CruisingPower, the online RCL/Celebrity/Azamara tool for agents, its very simple to look up. -
I don't get why they would replace a Vision class ship with another Vision class ship. Why not just send the Legend to Europe instead of Rhapsody? I still think there is some traction to the rumours about RCI wanting to bring bigger ships to Australia.

Don't wait til the actual due date to pay. I would pay at least a week before the due date so you won't have any issues with them getting the money on time.

So, does anyone know if there will be a Viking Crown Lounge or will Two70 be taking it's place? It'll be a massive shame if they don't have a VCL.

There's already a lot of ships in the Caribbean. I've heard RCI would like to bring bigger ships to Australia. We already have a Radiance and Voyager. Next step would be a Freedom class ship.I was thinking along the same lines, that would definitely heat things up down under.Another possibility would be that they'd move her to the Caribbean.

Hopefully to Australia to replace Rhapsody which is moving up to the Med in 2015.

I collect the ship models that they sell onboard. Well, not just of ships I've been on, but whenever someone I know cruises, I get them to get me a model of the ship.
So far I have...
Allure of the Seas
Oasis of the Seas
Liberty of the Seas
Independence of the Seas
Voyager of the Seas
Radiance of the Seas
Jewel of the Seas
Majesty of the Seas
Pacific Dawn
Pacific Pearl
Pacific Jewel
Pacific Sun
Pacific Sky
Pacific Star
Dawn Princess
Sea Princess
Island Princess
Queen Mary 2
Carnival Spirit
and I also have an SS Canberra diecast model which I got from ebay. I love my ship models and have them displayed in a glass display case. I am always looking for more and am hoping to collect the entire RCI and Celebrity fleets. :)

Yes, they do. :)Does anyone know if Cunard sells resin models of their ships? -
I asked the Captain at the Captain's Corner Q&A about future deployments and he said they hadn't finalised the 2015 deployments yet so "there might be a change planned". He also said he knows that RCI are keen to send bigger ships here and that he'd heard talk of another Voyager class ship coming here. So, we can be hopeful, but we'll have to wait and see... :)

Some people may have $150 to pay for the tour, but unfortunately no amount of money will buy them class and intelligence. We had similar questions crop up on our recent RCI cruise during the Captain's Corner Q&A. One lady, had already had her problem dealt with (she'd been moved to a new stateroom due to noises from the recycling process onboard), but she still felt the need to raise the issue in front of an audience. Now, of course, because the issue had been dealt with by the appropriate people, the Captain and the CD had no idea what she was on about. Majority of the people in the audience (and I'm sure the CD and Captain as well) thought she was an idiot!

We're onboard Rhapsody at the moment and have heard a couple of people mentioning the ship going to Turkey/Med and we'll get a different ship coming to Australia instead. I'll see what else I can find out (if anything).

Could it be the fuel surcharge they reserve the right to charge?

There is only 120V of electricity in those cabins unlike the 240V we are used to here. You cant just plug any powerboard into their system. You don't know if its a dodgy board and if the + and - terminals are in the correct place.
There is only limited amount of power that goes to each cabin and unless you know what amount of power each device is going to drain from the system and multiply it by the number of passengers doing the same thing its best you keep quiet. Playing with electricity is dangerous. Cruise lines have every right to ban these devices. It is foolish and irresponsible to take them and a reckless indifference to the rules and other peoples safety.
ROTFALMAO at your stupid statement
Fishtaco.....What does ROTFALMAO mean ??

I've seen reports that RCI have stopped taking bookings for the Rhapsody's relocation cruise from Sydney to Hawaii in 2015, leading speculation it may be cancelled. Why would they do that though?
-
Any Aussie agent can book it for you using AUD. :)

No worries, thanks everyone. :)
