Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks. Never thought about cancelling & rebuying! Yes, I know it is 24 hours elapsed, which was why I said spreading over midnight, so you get maybe 8 hours one day and the other 16 the next day, or however you want to split it based on time differences etc. So sort of 2 days if you do it right.
  2. I am currently Diamond, so arguably get 2 days of 'free' wi-fi (spready over midnight) but I would still like to get a wi-fi package for those long voyages. The cost is just a rip off considering they have low cost (to them) Starlink Maritime, but that said, what are the best offers people have received pre-cruise? I think the best discount that I have ever received is 35% at random times (it's 30% currently), but does the discount go higher than that? Thanks
  3. I think we forget that the crew get a 'good' salary too and on a recent cruise the Cruise Director said at a public event in the main theatre that nobody on the ship had a base salary from the company of less than $30'000 I wonder who tips in McDonalds...?
  4. I love belonging to a really helpful community full of people that spend their time helpfully answering the specific questions asked, rather than just ranting and forcing their unwanted opinions down people throats…
  5. Hello, Just interested in if anyone has used the NCL process for removing 'service charges' and how they got on with it and how much resistance or delay they received from NCL? I really don't want to get into the 'tipping' debate' just interested in the NCL charge recovery experience for those that prefer to cash tip those that have given deserving service. My understanding is Guest Services give you a form and you fill it out and then scan copy and email to them and in a few weeks you get the charges refunded? Any experiences gratefully received - thank you
  6. Interesting to hear how they treat us cruisers here in Europe/UK differently. I have just had the unpleasant and bitter experience of finding out that my cruise has dropped nearly £400. I thought it might be worth a call the their London office, but as most have said on here they are just not interested and apparently "MSC do not set the price", so I assume they have a random number generator doing it for them! I was very polite, but they were just not interested in OBC/Room upgrade, or anything, however small! Oh well, might not chose to sail with them again unless it is a blinding promotion, which I thought mine was, until this better one!!
