No, in the past (as I'm not sure of what they're doing now) only the mini suites designated as Reserve (now Sanctuary) got them (and paid a premium over other mini suites).

On our sailing mini-suite guests had the Reserve Restaurant instead of the MDR option, and like I stated, full suite guests had the Signature restaurant.

OK - so original topic is Sun Princess Signature benefits.

We booked the Sun for a New Years cruise in a Signature Mini Suite, which , by then, will be a Sanctuary mini suite. I got this from Princess today. We have the Plus package, which is enough for us.

I've already contacted our TA and she said to just ignore it . But the missteps on this ship just continue to happen. We've been sailing with Princess for about 50 years and have NEVER seen this incompetence before.

Genuinely curious question, are you saying you expected those benefits as a part of your mini-suite package?  I was just on the Sun Princess in a Signature Suite and these were the benefits minus the Premier Package (I had the Plus package) available to suite guests.  Mini-Suite guests did not have access to the  Siganature Restaurant, the Signature Lounge, or the Sanctuary Deck Area on my sailing.

Sox,  It is limited, but it IS a kids and family area.   There should be a small splash-pad, etc.

It is a place for kids and families to spend time onboard.

Along with the fact that there is NO open adult-only area.

Princess really does it again...  Ugggghhhh.

Yes, I see this as a problem when the ship hits the Caribbean, Holidays, Spring Break, etc..

Where are you getting this information that there is NO open adult-only area?  I just got off the Sun Princess and there are TWO adult only areas on the ship.  The Sanctuary and The Dome are currently AO.  Not only that, but the Sanctuary was a literal ghost town with barely anyone in the area even on sea days.  I had access to the Sanctuary, but couldn't really use it as I was traveling with a minor, so I was quite upset that the Dome area was also made AO as that pushed most families to the Lido Deck for pool access.

As for Park 19, yes, we asked and they are still awaiting the safety certification as has been posted.

  4. Question for those that have recently used ItalyTours.  I have 3 upcoming excursions planned with them and have received emails about access to restrooms (now you need to pay to use the facilities), and a second email about anti-pollution laws and the fact they cannot run the AC in their vehicles while parked.

Not so much concern about the restroom fee, but more-so the lack of AC upon return to the vehicles.  With the recent heatwave hitting Europe, how have your experiences been upon return to the vehicle?  I would hate to be baking out in the sun in Pompeii or Rome and then have to return to an oven in the form of the vehicle.

Note, from their email it states that they do start the vehicle (and the AC) and drive around for 20 minutes prior to pick-up, but the email also says the first 30 minutes in the vehicle may feel warm or hot.

    Thanks.

We were docked at the new port (unsure if that is always the case).

We arranged transportation via SZS Mykonos Transportation to take us to a beach/restaurant of our choice. On the way back we used a local taxi (called by the restaurant) to drop us off in the old port and we walked around / shopped. We then took the water taxi from the old port to the new port to get back on the ship.

You can easily take the water taxi to the old port (2 euros one way) or princess had a shuttle bus (I think $15 usd roundtrip). I would recommend the water taxi for transportation between old/new port.

Thank you.  I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

  6. @Dgamcruiser39 - I will be on Sun Princess in July with the same docking time as you when we get to Mykonos.  I would appreciate it if you could please report back on how you were docked as I too am trying to have an idea on transportation.  We will be headed to one of the beaches, so was hoping we would tender to the old port and then I can take a water taxi to my beach of choice.

  7. Cruising in July on the Sun Princess and the Santorini port of call was swapped to Chania over a month ago, so it seems Princess is definitely making a concerted effort to swap out of the Santorini stops.  When I had checked the docking schedules for our stop in July there was going to be 8-10k pax on that day as there was an RCI Oasis ship also docking.
