  1. There was Donald Duck in Seaham Co. Durham also a mining family. I wonder if they were related, or the same person? The age is right.
  2. Chicken nuggets aren't something we would have, but a few years ago we had our granddaughter with us and went to kids tea. The nuggets were chicken breast and in batter and I was impressed they weren't skimping on the kids food. She ate them all so I didn't get to try one!
  3. Yes table tennis. I don't know about competitions
  4. If it is the Loen skylift (above post) A bus goes to it from the ship
  5. Thank you everyone for your replies. I will have a look first day to see if anything takes my fancy. If not I will have back up.
  6. We had tea on Britannia. I think it was £28 each. The sandwiches and the cakes were nice, but the scones were far too sweet for us. It did fill in a pleasant hour on a sea day but I don't think I would book again. Your tastes could be completely different so if you fancy give it a try. It certainly wasn't horrible.
  7. Am I right in thinking Iona doesn't have a library?
  8. I didn't know this. I've only ever passed through the casino. I was just trying to say sometimes people perceive things differently. However given your wife's job she would know this so I apologise.
  9. We were there for afternoon tea, but lunch was still available. They also do prawn cocktail buns. It was about a week into our cruise when my husband discovered these. We then went every day. He assures me they are delicious
  10. Steak and chicken are still available. Don't know about prawn cocktail as I don't eat it It was available in the buffet with afternoon tea
  11. I read yorkpetes post last night and thought nothing of it but thought I would let others reply. However looking now it seems some are offended by this. So my two penn'oth.... I think this was misconception and the men were from the N.E. For 'love' you could insert madam. Means exactly the same thing. He would be offering her a seat as he would feel uncomfortable sitting if a lady was standing. Rather than a sexual connotation. Also up here everyone talks to each other, in a queue, on a bus etc. It isn't odd. If I showed this post to people the general conception would be 'she had a stick up her back____!' So sorry for the essay but I am trying to stop this descending into anarchy
  12. You could look in FAQ. They give full dining menus so may also include drinks
  13. Front page on my P&O. Then click on the options, dining, entertainment etc
  14. Thank you for posting. We aren't going until March but I have been looking at the ship details and it all looks fabulous
  15. Well!! You learn something new every day. I didn't even know that was possible 😂
  16. It is. We also do biobank and they recommended we didn't do both. I do think everyone who possibly can should take part though.
  17. Thank you. I will definitely give it a go.
  18. On our last cruise they were two days late. Then they appeared in dribs and drabs
  19. So sorry Graham I know you are very close. I hope she is bearing up it sounds very painful
  20. Oh god! you are bringing back memories. So small yet they seem to develop spider powers which enables them to stick to any surface they are on. 🙂
  21. Interesting reports on the water flosser. I have been looking at them. As I still forget to turn my electric toothbrush off before I take it out of my mouth, and regularly spray the mirror and tiles. I think I would need to install a wet room!!
  22. They may have been in the cupboard. I only found them because I thought it was the laundry bag
  23. I was wondering if anyone had used the spa on Iona and could give some information. I haven't used them before but was thinking about it for our next cruise
  24. My husband doesn't know the price..,.and very unlikely to find out! 😉
