  1. Thanks. How do we book? Don’t see these prices online. Do we have to call in? Or maybe I missed the deals. 🤣
  2. I had one on Rotterdam (it was assigned) and there were no issues with the stage show but docking was a nightmare. Also heard every slap of the waves. Fully forward and I heard every sound. Would not choose this cabin again though I have no issues being forward or with movement. The cabin itself was lovely. Love HAL. Food is consistently good, live shows are amazing and crew staff are excellent, but I would need to be higher up on deck.
  3. For those of you who have booked Hyatt Place through ValueTrips, what does it show on your credit card statement? I have a very good offer on my AMEX for Hyatt and would like to use it, but would prefer to stay at our usual Marriott.
  4. Okay thanks. I am not seeing anything close to the price quoted above so it must be gone. I am onboard now and was going to book.
  5. You are correct, high heels are not going out of style. 😂 They are everywhere and with all the new heel shapes they can be more comfortable and sturdy now. I wear heels all night for all my cruises too. Have been on NCL, RCCL, CCL, HAL and will be going on Celebrity shortly, all since COVID and I enjoy dressing up especially after being locked down! Even on my Alaska HAL or my casual NCL, I dressed up and don’t feel out of place. Others looked good too. 😜 Someone else mentioned Cunard had tap dancing. I wish they had it on our sailing. I would have definitely brought my tap shoes for our 17-night sailing. They had ballroom though and it was lovely.
  6. I have stayed at Hyatt Place but this time there was a blackout date with Value Trips so I booked Marriott on the beach FLL. Expecting it to be good.
  7. I am in the same boat (pun intended). Departing on August 20th, but flying in 2 days prior. It’s hectic organizing testing when I land so trying to do it Wednesday, before I leave. And I heard that we cannot have same day testing. Is that true? That was going to be my back up if they didn’t accept the 3-day test results at the port.
  8. It was an amazing cruise. It was our first time on HAL and we really enjoyed it immensely (cruised all the major lines). For this cruise I would recommend going to the bow for Glacier Bay then warm up in the Crow’s Nest if necessary - they serve pea soup there. Also we took the helicopter tour to a glacier and did the dog sledding (over snow) and it was the best excursion ever! Great afternoon tea and the lounge was marvellous until it switched over from BB King Blues lounge to Rolling Stones lounge; then it was empty. Watch the “Earth” show in the main stage with the small orchestra; sit in the Billboard lounge for the duelling pianos and be sure to dress appropriately for the weather (it was cold and wet, yet sunny on days too). Food was great and service was good. Enjoy!
