We booked a car from Toyota car rental using Tocoo car rental site. To our surprise, the car was waiting for us at the pier. We were going to take a taxi or walk 30minutes to Tokai rental shop as we didn't know they were bringing the car to the pier for us. Make sure you book the car from the Tokai shop, the closest to the port. You need your International driver license ( we got it from AAA ), driver license, and passport. We took the car to the Sakurajima Ferry terminal and rode the Ferry to the Sakurajima and drove all the way around stopping at few interesting sites. We even had time left to stop at the Sengan-en on the way back. If you are comfortable driving in Japan, its a good way to spend a day in Kagoshima. Hope this will help someone.

Hi there, I would like to bring this topic up again as we had a wonderful experience with Willow from "Busan Private Tour: tailored experiences for your group only". We booked the tour through trip advisor. Here is the review I wrote: We were there during our cruise port stop. Our tour guide/driver Willow provided us a wonderful tour. She waited patiently for at least couple of hours while we went through immigration and customs. As a result of the 2 hour delay our tour had to be shortened but she accommodated all of our requested site visits with some minor adjustments. The traffic to and from the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and Beach area was very bad and we are so glad Willow was able to time our tour according to her experience to make sure we got to visit sites including Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Gamcheon Culture Village, and a Korean cosmetic shop. She also gave us drive by tour of Diamond Bridge, Beach side village and, Many markets including Jagalchi Market. Since we were short on time, we opted not to have meal at restaurants but get some Korean street snacks. Those unusual snacks were very good (tasty not really healthy though...), but hey, we were on our Holiday! Most importantly, Willow took great care of us during our tour and brought us back to the ship safe and on time. Yes, we could just hire taxi between sites and do it cheaper but, traveling with elders and pressed on time, we were so glad that we booked a tour and we could not ask any better tour guide than Willow. She was great!! Thank you Willow!!! I hope this review will help someone.

I hope some one can answer my question from their own experience. I was wondering,,, without package (Plus...etc) then activate Ocean Now delivery by paying one time fee, can I order food and drinks using Ocean Now from my room without paying room service charge? Thanks. Mo

We also. We like to order few drinks here and there a la cart ( that will end up way less than $70 per day for us). Thinking to add one time OceanNow delivering fee on just one phone at the beginning of our cruis. That way, for our upcoming 9days cruise will end up costing us less than $1 pppd to add the OceanNow delivery.

We are thinking to take a taxi from the Kagoshima port to town as my mother can not walk far. Would you mind telling me how long you had to wait for the Taxi at the port? Did you get off the ship as soon as the ship arrived at Kagoshima port? Thank you.
