    Mystic Mountain Ocho Rios- have to do an excursion or cab it and go on our own?

The taxi guides are going to try to tell you that it costs 150 just to go up the mountain but that is bad information. They are trying to push you to do the $30 tour of the island instead of the $10 r/t ride to the mountain. Once there you can purchase whatever package you want.

     

    If you want to zip line, I would pre purchase it though. It was sold out. Also, go early if you go on your own. The ships excursions go to the falls first and the Allure is docked at the other dock. We had a short wait for the bobsleds but by the time we were ready to go, it was backed up pretty far.

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a tour operator? I looked on trip advisior and they only listed 2. One of which is shut down and the other only has a tour that leaves at 2pm and comes back at sunset. Unfortunately with our 10-6 day it port, that wont work!

    Anchorage Hotel has agreed to drop us off at 5:23 to get back to shop on time

    I have booked with Anchorage Hotel and they have told me they will drop us off at the terminal pier at 5:23 to catch the 5:30 back on board time. We are cruising Jan. 14 on the Dream

    We had originally booked Goff Island and when we arrived the "manager" talked us I no Hol Chan. She said it was the best snorkel and not crowded. We paid more money than originally told and was loaded on a boat with all others waiting. Before stepping into boat I once again said this is going to Hol Chan and she said yes and told the captain these 4 are the ones. When we arrived at Cay Caulker we inquired about Hol Can and were told we were not going. We were got back to Belize City we saw the 'manager" and told her we were not happy . She said we paid for Cay Caulker. We told her paid what she told us to pay and she knew we wanted to go to Hol Chan. What we believe happen is she only had the 4 of us to go to Goff so she talked us into Hol Chan and then the others that were suppose to go didn't show up she put us on the boat to Cay Caulker.

    Anyone use this company? I did a search on this forum, but nothing came up. I want to go to Goff's Caye on our July cruise so I did a Google search for Belize snorkeling/tour companies. They did email me back promptly and said they would take us out to Goff's Caye. So I'm wondering has anyone used this company and what was your experience like? Thanks!
