  1. That's the car serviced and through it's MOT for another year and yet again needed nothing doing, all was well. It has only done 2357 miles this year since last MOT and may just top the 60k sometime next year. I'm forever reminding some of my mates who are ready for retirement to remember to let insurance know change to "retired" and lower their insured 10,000 miles pa unless they intend driving to Italy and back as Brian used to do . Hope you all have a good day, take care .🙂
  2. Just checked for you now and all seems ok ,not sure what your using but possibly needs a good clean out of cookies etc.
  3. Morning ,very misty and foggy this morning 11.c and more rain expected . I don't mind foggy days but fog machines I just don't understand . Once switched on they just mystify me 🙃 Hope you all have a good day -Take care .🙂
  4. Morning ,we were up early as daughter /grand daughter and great granddaughter jetting off to Spain. Our great granddaughter will have her first birthday away. They sent us a video text of the little one blowing us kisses and saying "bye"🥰 just before boarding time. Meanwhile back in Kalos towers our heating kicked in this morning ,so a day staying inside for us. Hope you all have a good day . Take care🙂
  5. Morning ,hope your all ok today.🙂 For some of us ,we reach a certain age and find we have time to stop and think about things a bit more than we did. Tucked up in bed as I gazed up at the stars and the moonlight I thought to myself .."Where the hell has the roof gone ?"🙃 Three old men are talking about their aches, pains and bodily dysfunctions. One 75-year-old man says: "I have this problem. I wake up every morning at 7 a.m. and it takes me 20 minutes to pee." An 80-year-old man says: "My case is worse. I get up at 8 a.m. and I sit there and grunt and groan for half an hour before I finally have a bowel movement." The 90-year-old man says: "Not me. At 7 a.m. I pee like a horse and at 8 a.m. I crap like a cow." "So what's your problem?" asked the other two. " Well ....I don't wake up until 9:00am."🙃😉 Take care and have a good day .😃
  6. Sometimes but mum wanted a big tin of Carnation milk ,that way they could have a creamy tea or coffee with any leftover
  7. Breakfast growing up was served anything from 7am to 8.30am before we went to school, just us and mum as dad would get his in a transport cafe being a driver. Dinner was served 12- 2 pm or 12 sharp if we were at school. Tea as others have said could be owt from a sarnie to beans on toast. After Sunday dinner 2pm in our house ,the next meal would be 5-6 pm, this was a salad with cheeses meats and sometimes chips, followed by a tin of fruit salad with cream or ice cream if I could catch the Walls ice cream that came by late on Sunday. Then out with the biscuit barrel to finish. Later in my working life most of the above did not apply as I would be taking my "Snap" to work ,some folk would know them better as "Bait" or "Piece" to name a few . Things got more confusing when I visited my grandparents up Scotland as we could go out in the middle of the day and buy a fish supper !! Things can be confusing for some with what to call certain meal times but I have been reliably informed that if you want a "high " tea, then the coffee shops of Amsterdam do exceedingly good cakes 🙃 Bon appetit, take care and have a good day 🙂
  8. Hope not too much damage done to your house with the lightening strike. Take care .
  9. @Selbourne had same problem and maybe able to advise you .
  10. Morning ,hope your all right who have had the bad storms ,most we have had is a light drizzle but expecting more rain this evening . I used to sup gallons of coffee until I took ill in my early 20's and my body decided it was now allergic to the stuff🙁 I had to get used to drinking tea and I ended up going back to the doctors as every time I went to drink it ,I got a sharp pain in my right eye . All is well now since the doc advised my to take the teaspoon outta the mug first 🙃 Hope you all have a good day take care .🙂
  11. Morning ,I've been up a few hours now but checking out other things ,like RCL ships are reported to be clamping down on multi outlet block plugs as well as even the small extension leads .We know the surge ones were banned anyway . Could this spread to other cruise lines ? Moving onto other things ,like we were told as kids , rainbows for instance ? "You will find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow . Really ? What a load of ..... Take care and have a good day 🙂.
  12. I once dated a woman who's dad was a bricklayer ..Cement the world to me 🙃 I hope Jane and everyone else has a superb day ! Take care everyone 😀
  13. Mrs K used to love queueing at Sue's for our breakfast too 😀 Happy days 👍
  14. Try telling that to my Mrs ,she wasn't having any of it ,all she would say is .. "Get that fork truck outta my house ..NOW "😒
  15. We have done pretty well on Pop master today and managed a 4 on wordle and am running at a 91% win rate . We like The Chase and other such things. Jason Manford has a decent quiz program where quick thinking is needed ,you are given the answers ,one right ,one false but have to beat the clock . Our most favourite puzzle is P&O'S "Guess The Select" This is where you press select and they could offer you ,choose a cabin for example £30pp and you can get a hundred or more back in cruise credit . But beware they could want heading on for £300 each but only offer you less than £3OO back in cruise credit but everyone' (even P&O )s a winner should you book a cruise 🙃 Take care 🙂
  16. If it happens again it should give you the option to "Clear Editor " and you always get 20 mins of posting to Edit anyway after that you could click report and request a Mod to delete it . But seeing you have posted ..I hope @Adawn47 and Frank are doing OK.🙂
  17. Good morning ,hope everyone's doing ok 🙂 @zap99 Hope your cruise goes well and you enjoy your "shop free" days . Somehow I would be feeling uneasy about this shopping truce 🤔 Got visions of trekking the streets of Spain asking "Do you sell Polo mints "? and if they happen to ,your pleading with your good woman.."But they are a lot cheaper back home ,can we just wait "? To which you get the stern reply .... "No ,you said we can buy them here " 🤣 No good will come of it 🙃 Take care everyone 🙂
  18. Your'e a star, thanks for the info Michelle ❤️🙂
  19. Good morning Michelle ,those kites look lovely .Thanks for the heads up the other week regarding the world fireworks championship. I think it was Poland we watched online and they looked brilliant for those who were lucky enough to see them live . If they are doing more ,we would be thankful for a heads up so we can tune in again . Take care 🙂
  20. Good morning 🙂 Not a lot doing here ,just a lazy Sunday today. Just had a look at the Southampton web cams and it looks to be good weather for them today..I will be tuning in later as there are 5 ships parting today from 5pm onwards .So with the boat show as well down there is going to be busy ? Hope you all have a great day -Take care 🙂
  21. As you say they are improving all the time but for me they are in their early years and I would not like to be the one buying ,lets say a 8-10 year old car that is heading for a battery failure at some point. As I said not for me at the moment . Hydrogen could take over in the coming years ..Who knows ? 🤔
  22. True unless you have an estimated £7-8K spare .Life span is owt from 10 to 20 years but most car dealers only cover around 8 years to save payouts on warranty . Worth noting that a regular rapid charge can take toll on these batteries lifespan. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/do-electric-car-batteries-need-replacing-it-expensive
  23. At the moment I would say NO. Our country has a bad habit of running before it can walk . Take the coal mines/steelworks to name a couple, too dependant on overseas,we never think these thigs through .Now what seems like a mad dash for electric cars ? Don't get me wrong ,these cars are get better but we need more support/charging throughout the UK. I have driven electric loco's and fork trucks in the past, the pulling power is amazing . The part which bothers me would be the 2'nd hand market as you could be buying a battery that's halfway through it's life span, should that fail then at a guess a replacement for the car would not be cheap? A few more years and see what happens cos as the petrol /diesel cars get less, I think the powers that be will start loading the road tax onto these cars . Wait and see as there is no rush for me as yet .
  24. A few hours later 🤣 .... Blimey that's strong stuff your supping Eddie 🙃😉
  25. Hope everyone is ok and have a good weekend -Take care 🙂
