  1. Does make you think what her cooking was like. Fancy that him asking for more ! Not what she was expecting .oh well ! Some you lose and some you Winalot ? Or is it some you . . .😉 Either way he was in the dog house 🤣
  2. Growing up as a kid we had Alsatian's and a Labrador. When it came to meal times they had a tin of Chappie each with a good handful of Winalot biscuits ,with a Vetzyme tablet thrown in . Dogs loved it but I hated the smell of that tinned meat 🙂
  3. Same around here ,you could die of old age waiting for them and when you are lucky to get one they go all over the place through various villages via hospital etc , can take 30-45 minutes to get to town .It used to be a direct 15 minute run .
  4. Good luck , tomorrow you become a non smoker ,bye, bye cigarettes 😍
  5. Don't you just hate it when your teacher would make an Ass of themselves 😉
  6. Have a great time which I'm sure you will . Just a pity cruise ships don't do Wetherspoons😉🙂
  7. I could post a picture I have of the Baker Boys showing Mrs Craddock getting her muffins out of the oven ,which are described as very moist and sticky but thought better of it as we don't want this thread locked off do we ? 😯
  8. I went to school with a lad called Matt Christmas he had a sister called Mary .
  9. Nowadays, you don’t run into many people who name their kid Lance. But in the Middle Ages, people used to be named Lancelot.
  10. No snow here but frosty but bright sunshine thawing it . To all you dog owners wrap up well when your taking your dog walkies .
  11. That's why I said . . " "Going back to the ships most (but not all) seem to be on the bigger ships and party style . Maybe that explains why sleepy old Saga and ships like Arcadia seem to dodge these problems . " I do agree it can happen anywhere that's why I put (but not all) The point I was hoping to make is make something bigger that's any venue and add a bit of alcohol to the mix it needs managing . If I go to a tiny village pub or a big town centre venue then the latter is most likely to have some sort of policing /security nearby . Of course the tiny pub could have trouble. Thankfully it's not an everyday problem on P&O as some testify they have never seen any trouble but when it does arise lets hope for appropriate action . You make a good point with the so called parenting and child control of some ,which again could lead to friction . This again could happen anywhere not just on a ship ,so what's the answer to it ?
  12. I take it you mean "Hole in the ground " 🙂 but Avril's flour grader is called Fred . Now it so happens that Bernard also sang "Right said Fred " Gets about a bit this Fred 🙃
  13. The Freephone number is pasted at the top of P&O UK listings page by Sharon .
  14. Thinking about this problem away from ships for a moment reminds me of a guy i know. He took redundancy from his job and bought a pub that struggled and he came up with the idea "£10 and sup what you want ." This really took off and was a success bringing punters in from all walks of life with very little problems . Now he went on to buy adjoining buildings out and became big . With being big came bigger problems ,drunken fights , bouncers for crowd control . People getting barred were those "type of people" from well to do backgrounds and the not so well to do back grounds . The problems started when he went bigger and a party pub . Going back to the ships most (but not all) seem to be on the bigger ships and party style . Maybe that explains why sleepy old Saga and ships like Arcadia seem to dodge these problems . Bigger the ship, bigger the crowd , throw in a cheap price more chance of a problem. Nowt to do with if your rich or poor, young or old , it's how you are brought up.
  15. Do we know anyone who has ever drank to excess on Blue Nun ? That really would be ' A certain type of person"🤔
  16. Reading the above I think it's fair to say it's not just P&O or a British problem . What I would like to see is all cruise lines working together to stamp this behaviour out and if your banned from one fleet , then from all others . This guy makes some sense with what's happening.
  17. Morning hope your ok 🙂 It's a frost covered morning -3.c for us this morning, a very good reason to stay indoors. Got the C- Heating on so nice and cosy . There will be a few scraping their car windows this morning .One bloke tried to do his with a Tesco club card but only managed to get 10% off 🙂 I like this cold weather joke Wife texts husband on a cold winter’s morning: "Windows frozen, won't open , any ideas ?." Husband texts back: "Gently pour some lukewarm water over it." Wife texts .."done that ..now laptops gone dead ,now what ?😉 Take care and keep warm .
  18. I think Phil's sense of humour got the better of you. No way would he have tried to upset or offend you .
  19. You could always get your movie collection out (No not them sort ) Retirements ok you soon get used to it .. A bit like working from home but without the work 🙂 An old guy in the next village is a bit of a serial flasher, said he was going to retire. But he's now decided to stick it out for another year.🙃😉
  20. I can feel a song coming on Harry 🤣... 🎵 Bring Me Some Shine For A While , Triple Bubbles Make me smile 🎵 Oh we do love a bargain 😂😂
  21. I did a similar thing only I let my mind imagine a disgusting being who smelt putrid and was really nasty and thought that he owned me . Now if Jane was to do the same and think about all these poor souls she must have met in her time in the NHS. He is laughing at her telling her she has no chance, he owns her. He wants Jane to suffer as she see's the pain in her Grand daughter's face when she see's her ill . Just a matter of time he laughs ! What are you going to do about it ? Same as we did Graham point out we don't need him anymore .
  22. Quitting smoking is easy I must have done it a dozen times 😉 Staying stopped is a bit harder but I'm sure you will get there Jane . Good luck YOU CAN DO IT !🙂
  23. Excellent advice . A well known company T&C's say "If you decide to cancel within 14 days of making the booking, we charge an administration fee of £20.00 that will be deducted fromthe amount you have paid. However, there are no refunds for cancellations made after that time" As Clint used to say "Well do ya feel lucky ? "
