Seems like a much smaller benefit with Silversea fares. Percetagewise it's a rounding error.

Same here. I was famous for my carefully selected neckties (mostly Liberty of London). My son wouldn't think of wearing anything that flashy.

New Article About Explora's Vision for Cruise Line

They might have mentioned tweaks to the next ship. -
Free All in upgrade for 2024 sailings
Host Jazzbeau replied to HaveDogWillTravel's topic in Windstar Cruises
My experience with Allianz is that policies can be rolled forward. I've even done it to completely different trips, so there should be no problem moving it to a re-booking of the same itinerary. [Unless it was purchased through the cruise line, which may affect the T&C] -
I can still tie my own tie (I think...) but tying someone else's is a completely different (mirror image) thing. I could never be a dentist either...

Dry Dock - All ships will be scheduled in 2024

When was the last time a harpist was on board? This is not a recent cut... -
More details in this new article: Windstarâs Prelog: New Ships Bring Opportunities, New Features The helideck is set to be converted into additional guest space: âIt will be replaced with two big ownerâs suites and balcony cabins as well,â [Prelog] explained, adding that Windstar is also changing the general arrangement of the pool decks on the vessels. With the addition of the new cabins, the shipâs current capacity is expected to increase by approximately 30 percent, reaching 224 guests. Andrew N. Todd, President & CEO of Xanterra, added: "We hope that itâs the kick off for beginning of what we planned to add additional ships and sail to destinations and locations that weâve been wanting to go.â [giving me hope that Windstar will buy more ships in this class as Atlas keeps cranking them out]

Explora Journeys: Creating a Unique Cruise Brand Bottom line: they think they are doing great, have no plans to change

I'd be grumpy too, because they are not the same thing at all. Black coffee is brewed to the proper intensity â Americano is an espresso (strong and bitter) that has been watered down.

Abercrombie & Kent orders Amazon ship

That amazon isn't capitalized. -
Doesn't come close to undoing the March price increase on my 2025 cruise.

Live from EJ1 - Miami to Barbados 8/3 (or 3/8 if you insist) >

Going from 1-1-1 to 1-2-1 is hardly a luxury improvement! -
Not one of the new ones [the ice-strengthened hull would really be wasted there] â but they will be positioning one sailing ship (Wind Star) plus one yacht (Star Breeze) full-time in French Polynesia. https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/shipbuilding-equipment/windstar-cruises-acquiring-two-mystic-invest-ships-one-newbuild

Live from the Wind - From the Amazon to Africa
Host Jazzbeau replied to Fletcher's topic in Silversea
It can't have been worse than the San Francisco Symphony in the late '60s when I was out there. The lead French Horn player ran his own 'clam' bar... Thanks for the picture â that is an amazing opera house in the middle of the jungle! I hope the itinerary exceeds your modest expectations. And that Silver Wind isn't as bad as my recent experience on Whisper (and other recent reports) would forecast. At least my itinerary delivered, so I hope the same for you. -
I'm surprised they don't know how to spell Grease. Haven't they seen the movie??? ðĪĢ

Dry Dock - All ships will be scheduled in 2024
Host Jazzbeau replied to KevintheIrishDJ's topic in Azamara
Because you seem to bring a mass market cruise line sensibility, which IMHO is wrong for Azamara. And I'm fully entitled to my opinion too. -
It must have been Formal Night!!!

@DavyWavey70 I got an email advertising this private jet trip today. Too rich for my blood, but it sounds right up your alley: https://www.noble-caledonia.co.uk/voyages-and-tours/journeys-by-private-train-%26-jet/tour/3489/crossroads-of-cultures/?search_url_id=40 It's in April, which I remember you said isn't a good time for you to travel. Maybe you could get Gordon Ramsey's squatters to run the hotel for you??? ðĪŠ

On our first Scenic cruise we got the backpacks â they were so heavy that we couldn't even give them away. On our second cruise they substituted the 50 Euros for the luggage amenity, which we thought was a very good trade! Recently I read that this was a short-term solution for those who had booked expecting a luggage item [and a very nice gesture, since many cruise lines just cut things without substitution or explanation]; now enough time has gone by that a 'make-good' is no longer necessary. But of course by now people think the 50 Euros was a permanent feature â you can't win!

Explora uses the SeaWare software from Versonix, which is also blamed for Azamara's website woes. MSC is not listed as a SeaWare customer. But there are also many other cruise lines that use it, and they seem to have good website functionality â so I don't know why these two recent customers are both having problems. https://www.versonix.com/customers/

Reports from those sailing in those Oceania cabins are that the shower doors were not a good idea. The showers are still too small, but now there is no give when your body (especially your funny bone) hits the door. Azamara upgraded the curtains so they don't cling, which is the best compromise available.
