  1. Yes, we were given a 25% bonus and rebooked for November. That got cancelled. Booked again for March 2021, the ship got sold. That’s when we said enough of this ever moving target. We are willing to lose the 25% bonus for cash in hand. We have three cruises booked in 2021 but are only willing to tie up FCD’s until ships actually start to sail again.
  2. This FCC was because HAL cancelled the March cruise. At the time we thought we would be sailing by now. We used it on cruises for next year, then the ships got sold. It was then that we decided to request refunds of the monies we paid.
  3. I just wanted to update this thread. Overnight I finally received confirmation from HAL that my FCC is being turned into a refund. This is from the March 2020 cancellation. They apologized that it was taking longer than expected but that I am in the queue. I asked for this on August 10 and my PCC told me 60 to 80 days. So for now they are still in that window.
  4. Thanks for the daily report. I wish more Americans read the Constitution. Apple dumplings are a treat to be enjoyed. A local bakery makes a pretty good one so I’ll be stopping by soon.
  5. Good Morning, the following announcement crossed my FB feed this morning: P&O Cruises today confirmed an extension to its pause in operations, with all sailings cancelled until early 2021. All Caribbean cruises are cancelled until the end of January 2021 and all cruises from and to Southampton are cancelled through February 2021. Cruises on Arcadia and Aurora have already been cancelled through to the end of their spring world cruises. https://www.cruisecapital.co.uk/po-cruises-cancels-all-2020-cruises-wont-sail-until-february-2021/?fbclid=IwAR2FzK-DXDINNZvm7V0LjTD4Uxkca2AVoFPxicHrIkdNjrbzEHIVMh7RmGk
  6. I saw this link on FB. https://www.cruisecapital.co.uk/carnival-corporation-to-remove-another-5-ships-from-fleet/?fbclid=IwAR0FvJdGFwtQaUQ1z-uffl5HpOJZ_CuMrGmScqOlhP2vFvDP7xGY6idfLt0
  7. Good Morning, thanks for the daily report. We escaped Massachusetts yesterday and are visiting family in Pennsylvania this weekend. A sunset from two years ago aboard the Rotterdam
  8. @CherryCupcake I second this post. Please share your opinions. Your opinion very well may add a point of view that some of us didn’t think about and challenge our ideas. We are never too old to look at something from a new perspective. (At least I hope)
  9. Good Morning, I think Chinese is the plan for dinner tonight with wine. Two years ago we returned to Charlottetown on our way back home. Also, never forget happy hour, especially on a holiday weekend.
  10. It is very worrisome. Our next cruise is booked for May on Zaandam. I still think that is a possibility. We are keeping an eye on a holiday cruise for December but assume that is wishful thinking.
  11. While trying to find a difference between cool and cold layups I found the following article from a May. It sounds like NCL’s cold layup has been in the planning stages for awhile. https://www.maritime-executive.com/article/norwegian-works-to-stay-afloat-with-financing-and-cold-layup
  12. Thank you for the daily report. Two years ago on the return trip to Boston we visited Quebec again. We walked around and enjoyed the local sights. After we left we had a beautiful sunset on the St Lawrence.
  13. @dfish I thought of you and sister Sue today. Two years ago leaving Montreal.
  14. Good Morning, like the drink of the day addition. Two years ago it was turn around day at Montreal. Some pictures leaving that wonderful city.
  15. It was a nice treat. Something different and it reinforces that ship excursions aren’t always the way to go.
