  1. Thank you for sharing the photos. I’m hoping that next summer’s cruise to Greenland happens as planned.
  2. Thank you for the link. Now if I can only remember to attend.
  3. The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and Carnival Corporation will host the WTTC/Carnival Corporation Global Science Summit on COVID-19. Set for July 23, this will be a virtual scientific summit focused on COVID-19 and the new normal, according to a statement. Taking place from 1400 hours to 1730 GMT (10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT) on Thursday, July 23, the summit, which is open to the public, will share the latest scientific knowledge and evidence-based best practices related to prevention, detection, treatment and mitigation of COVID-19. The joint summit will see global tourism leaders, WTTC Members, government agencies, destination partners, trade and private businesses, share the very latest science and medical evidence that can be used to inform practical, adaptable and science-based solutions for mitigating and living with COVID-19. The summit will bring together a lineup of world renowned medical, epidemiology and public health experts to explore and share the latest best practice on the science of COVID-19 and how best to address the many practical questions people have about the disease. Gloria Guevara, WTTC President & CEO, said: "I was excited when Arnold, on behalf of Carnival Corporation, approached me with this idea. This event will be a powerful platform for harnessing the best thinking from across all fields of knowledge in the public and private sectors. The science of this virus is rapidly evolving and these real-time insights will be invaluable in helping us determine evidence-based protection and mitigation measures to combat COVID-19. They will also help drive global alignment and collaboration on the frontiers of science and policy, which is critical to the survival of this important sector. "COVID-19 has had a crushing global socio-economic impact and is threatening the jobs of millions of people whose very livelihoods depend upon a thriving Travel & Tourism sector for their survival." 4. I saw the announcement as well. Here is the link: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/23186-carnival-corp-schedules-business-update-call.html
  5. Thanks for the daily. I’d like to see a 🛸. Today’s meal suggestion is great, if I only knew of a local place that made it.
  6. We have a December cruise booked and final payment was moved to September. Cancellation fees begin August 2. We will cancel at the end of the month if there is no announcement that December cruises will happen. Check your cancellation dates and cancel ahead of that date. Remember to give them a little extra time as hours have been cut again.
  7. Happy Canada Day! We’ve been to a Canada a few times to help celebrate, always a good time.
  8. A little perspective on refunds might help us all feel better. Celestyal Cruises just cancelled their itineraries until a March 6, 2021. A poster on that board was told that if you want a full refund you must wait until December 2021.
  9. OP may be correct on the earliest cruises resume. Celestyal Cruises just cancelled cruises through March 2021. First cruise will be a March 6, 2021. https://cruisemarsh.wordpress.com/2020/06/30/celestyal-cruises-suspends-operations-until-march-2021/
  10. They changed the final payment date for my November cruise. They did not change the date for cancellation penalty.
  11. Our next scheduled cruise is November 8. If HAL doesn’t cancel before cancellation fees start we will. If HAL announces a resumption of sailing plan we will reconsider.
  12. Costa Victoria is on its way to the scrap yard. https://www.cruisecapital.co.uk/costa-victoria-to-be-scrapped/
  13. My PCC replied letting me know that my November cruise is still happening. I’m hoping she is correct. I realize it is possible that they haven’t shared the news with her as yet.
  14. Once HAL makes it official then more refunds become due. They still haven’t finished sending refunds for the first wave of cancellations.
