  1. You can have turn down service if you want, just tell your stateroom attendant that you want evening service instead of morning service; unless you are in a suite you only get one or the other. Chocolates have been gone for nearly a decade, I would guess. I have several dozen hotel nights a year due to business travel, and haven't had daily service for years; it is usually every 2-3 days, or upon request.
  2. If the phone does not have an active SIM card (as it seems to indicate in the OP) , WiFi calling will not work
  3. Past the pub on your way to the theater, on your right, it’s called “Unboxed” Excellent selection
  4. I see absolutely no correlation between towel policies and chair hogs
  5. I assume so; I can’t say, I never email them, any correspondence that is ever needed is handled by my travel agent.
  6. Same can be said for 85% of the topics covered here, doesn't make it any less enjoyable to discuss the pros and cons, and share ideas with fellow cruisers. The OP's question was answered directly in the first few posts, everything else is gravy
  7. +1 It is the uphill trek to get on the ship that keeps me from carrying on bags. Count me among the group that gets to the ship relatively early (hands bags off to porter), and is usually unpacked with empty bags stowed under the bed by 1500 at the latest.
  8. Same, except I put no cash down initially, they will let you run up $500 at a time. We don't spend much on board, but if we ever hit the $500 mark I take my AMEX down to GS and have them run it for the balance, easy peasy, no holds, and absolutely no way a charge can be added post cruise. The last night I go down to GS after we pack up, usually around midnight, there are no lines, and have them run the card for the final balance.
  9. We have to get our own towels as well, but they NEVER have swiped any of my sea pass cards when staying in a suite
  10. “Worth” is relative. We went to Hideaway Beach last week, we paid $29.99 on a Black Friday sale. At that price I would do it again; not sure if I would pay $60. The pool was heated and very comfortable, the food is a push, pretty much the same as the rest of the island’s free offerings (there was some “upgraded pizza”)
  11. Service charges beyond your fare for a Royal Caribbean junior suite is the OPTIONAL $18 per day per person “gratuity” An alcohol package, utilizing dynamic demand based pricing, would have me budgeting in the neighborhood of $70 PPPD plus 18% gratuity.
