  1. Curious here as well. why are you in need of a PCC. I book directly with HAL as well as other lines. I call 1 800 number and deal with the one who answers the phone. I have always had great service. On two occasions I have received emails from a PCC, advising me they were assigned to me. When i spoke with them they only work days and Monday to Friday. I asked what if I need my booking serviced at night or on weekend. Response was to contact 1 800 and anyone would be happy to help me. I do all my own research and price shopping online anyway, then a quick call to do the booking.
  2. Never be sorry for asking a question even if its been asked before. Thats what Forums are for. I prefer wearing light Khakis and button collared shirt or golf type shirt on chic and non chic nights. They are less bulky to pack .
  3. Maybe the OP will come back on and answer the burning question. Since they did not see coffee package on Celebrity site, where was the package purchased. Too much info missing to properly answer OP’s questions. Hope no one is offended by me asking the OP to clarify.
  4. Maybe, but many have tried other lines and may choose different lines based on Itinerary
  5. Now pose the same question on HAL board. Would be interesting to see if responses are similar
  6. If im booking return flights in North America, I find I get a better price by booking directly through the airline myself. However, for one way International flights i find much better prices through the cruise line air. Just my experience.
  7. Does HAL allow you to book a casino offer through your Pcc. On Celebrity, i just received an offer and it had to be made directly through casino consultant and all maintenance of the cruise had to be made through casino consultant or online through manage my reservation. PCC said they did not have access to maintain the booking. I much rather the idea of being able to do it through PCC,
  8. Wonder if it has to do with how a particular ship rotates through all its menus from cruise to cruise
  9. Equinox sailing Jan 12, 2023 has prime Rib last night of cruise. Reflection on Nov 27 sailing shows their Beef Wellington using Tenderloin.
  10. This sounds like an open face hot beef sandwich you would get at a family restaurant or at home made using leftover beef from a previous night roast beef dinner. Not what I would expect in a cruise main dining room for dinner. For lunch yes
  11. Hey I understand how you feel but i am surprised to see formal wear advocates try to control how others dress. Those who choose to dress casual are not forcing others to Not dress formal. It is their choice and right to dress casual as outlined by the cruise line, just as it is your choice and right to be more dressy. I wore a formal uniform and suits all my working career. Now that I am retired, i want to relax and smell the roses. I dont expect others to attempt to control my vacations and i dont expect others to change how they spend their leisure time. Kudos to all the men and women who like to and do dress up while on vacation. But please allow me to do what I want as well. It is 2022 and we are well past the cruising days mandatory traditions of the 20th century. I can only control my own actions, i cannot, nor do I want to ,control others
  12. I I wasn’t aware that HAL didn’t allow those who wanted to dress up , to do so on dressy evenings. Are you saying those who want to dress up , will only do so if HAL makes those cruisers who prefer to be more casual to dress up as well. Who’s desires should take precedence? The dresser uppers or the other paying guests. ?Huh?
  13. It was working for equinox for Jan, 2023 as of 30 minutes ago
  14. This thread reminds me of a quote by Douglas Bader, who lost his legs disobeying rules - “Rules are for the obedience of fools and guidance of wise men”.
  15. When i go its slacks(khakis) and collared shirt. Some people wear ties or jacket, a few tuxes. But in my experience it is 80% slacks and shirt. Women wear mostly pants and top. You may get a wide range of answers here as each has their own preferences. On Royal, Hal, Celebrity and Azamara, i never wear a tie or jacket even in specialty restaurants. Ive never had a problem and never felt uncomfortable. I was always in the 80% group.
  16. Ive had the same issue on an upcoming cruise. And for the past week i cannot search through or book a cruise on celebrity site using an Ipad, or Macbook pro. Have tried with Safari, Chrome and Firefox. I have no problems when using my Iphone either to their site or through the App. I spoke to Celebrity IT yesterday and they said they are aware of the problems customers are having accessing and using their website. They say they are actively working to try and resolve the issues.
  17. You are 100% correct in your comments. And my wife was quick to point that out to me as well. Out of all the cruise options offered we could give them choices 1, 2, and 3. Seeing the error of my thinking (as pointed out by wife) we have responded in the affirmative with our three choices. Now we will await their call back confirming. Thanks for your response.
  18. If your friends are members of cruise critic, they may already know your feelings and you may not have to say anything.
  19. HAL is one of the Premium mass market cruise lines and you should not expect the same level of service as say Luxury lines such as Seabourn, Silversea or Regent. And their prices reflect the anticipated service. Pick an itinerary and compare those cruise lines with the premium lines prices. You get what you pay for.
  20. But those services were there for you and they cost the cruise line money. It is not their fault you did not avail yourself of them. Others did. Its not a la carte cruising .in order to make it somewhat affordable they have to price accordingly
  21. But remember that your $400+ is covering room, breakfast , snack, lunch, snack, dinner, nite snack as well as complimentary activities throughout the day and performances at night. I do like bed made each day, and towels changed as needed, but I have no problem turning down my own bed each night while I await my additional free goodies through room service. And with daily planners migrating to electronic format we dont even need them dropped at the room each night. We shouldn’t always expect champagne service on beer prices.
  22. Well my blue chip offer came today for a free veranda cabin on a wide selection of cruise dates between now and Dec 27, 2022. Of course i would have to pay grat., taxes, air, hotel. I did the math and for the most expensive cruise they were offering me it meant i was getting a $1500. Fare for free since they are struggling to fill cabins this fall and Nov. and Dec.are extremely cheap. Then my math showed me my air, tax, grats, car parking, and pre cruise hotel would cost me between $3000. And $3400. Im not knocking the $1500 gift, but i just booked a cruise a week ago on Celebrity for Jan 12, 2023. Same thing happened in 2019 . I booked a cruise for December 2019 and one week later i received a blue chip free veranda offer from celebrity on a cruise leaving on same day as my first cruise ended. And it would have been impossible to get to the free cruise on time. coincidence that it happened to me twice?
  23. You are assuming a lot in your interpretation of what happens with the ratings. If we were to follow your advice the information provided to management would be meaningless. I like to call it as it is. If service is poor I say so (within reason). If service is good to exceptional I say so and reward it accordingly. I try to stay away from woke way of thinking
