drumming cruisers

I have been wondering too! We were thinking of going to AK on the Sun, but we sure like the Biss and Encore, not sure if we would like going back to a smaller ship. Is there enough to do at night and sea days if you don't hang out at the bars?

Sugarcane Mojito bar is on deck 8 midship. Was quiet and our drinks were great.

Was on Bliss last week. We arrived at port around 11:30. only hang up was security. Once we got past that, we checked in and boarded. Have a good time. Was very crowded on our cruise. had to make sure to get to all entertainment very early. Only one big issue and that was Cagney's. (which was one of our favorites, DH said never again!) Took 45 minutes to get bread and water after we sat down. Then another 30 minutes to have orders taken, and another 40 minutes to get meal. And filet mignon was terrible. Could hardly cut it with a steak knife.

Did you call the port? Our luggage was missing, we contacted NCL and was told to call the port. It took them week, but it was found on a dock somewhere. (was in Seattle). They had it sent to via UPS.

After last cruise we are now Diamond Latitude. Says we can get a free cabin upgrade. Can we go from a Club Balcony suite to a Haven suite? If not what can we upgrade to from a Club Balcony? TIA

@shadowmeboy Love your reviews! Where is the bear with the fish statue? Have been to AK a few times and have never seen that. Is it close enough to cruise pier to walk to?

I know Bliss wasn't on your list, but it's our favorite. Then Encore, and Breakaway. We didn't like Joy, not exactly sure why, just a weird vibe. Crew was nice etc,

We are booked on Bliss in February. Original booking was a balcony, travel protection for 2 of us was $90. Called NCL and upgraded to Haven 2 bedroom. Travel protection went up to $798. Does that seem correct? Thanks for all your info!
