  1. Yes. It's pretty impressive. It's a bit more asynchronous than home, with the down speed much higher than the up speed. All things considered, it worked really well. (Nieuw Statendam, mid December 2023.)
  2. You won't see a breakdown of the OBC. You'll only see the total. HAL or your TA can see the details if you need them.
  3. Perhaps they decide on a ship by ship basis. They were selling it on the Nieuw Statendam in December. The cost was, as Kazu stated, $10/day higher than prepaid.

    OBC

Unless you have purchased OBC, it's pretty much always non-refundable. None of the community offers are refundable, nor is the shareholder OBC.
  5. If it makes you feel any better, we have to read our old CC posts to remember what we ate on a particular night. 😃 Thanks for all the detail. We're hoping graduate to the "Grands" in a few years, and your Live From helps tremendously.
  6. Happy to help. Most of the "community appreciation" OBCs are done on a per stateroom basis. Some of them stack, allowing you to use more than one - but you can't use the same one for two people in the room. I think that the best combo is a military veteran, who is a first responder - traveling with an educator who is a University of Washington alum with season tickets to one of the Huskies sports teams. Oh, yeah... One of the people needs to have 100+ shares of Carnival stock. Also, they shouldn't be big gamblers, because casino offers aren't compatible with some of the community OBC offers. So, if you are in the dating pool, now you know to look for. 😁
  7. Yes. It always helps to know the recipe for what you are ordering. The bartenders have recipe books, but many drinks have multiple variations.
  8. Ask your PCC or TA to request one if you need one. There is no charge. It's on the special services list.
  9. There is a promo code field on the checkout for shore excursions, dining, spa, and pretty much everything. My guess is that it's part of the e-commerce platform by default. I don't know of any web shopping cart that doesn't have the capability. Sometimes it's disabled and does not show, but it's almost always there. Just because the field exists doesn't mean that it's in use.
  10. @Going today Where on deck 8? Some rooms can be very quiet, others not so much. It really depends what's above you.
  11. If you are still stuck. Email me. My address is down in my signature.
  12. I was all excited to see that Easter Brunch in the Pinnacle Grill showed up as bookable for our cruise. It only shows on the HAL website, not in the app. So, I clicked on the link, to get an idea of what we had available to us. We're figuring that the $10 premium above the cost of the regular PG lunch means we're we're in for something special! Oh, good. A sample menu. Let's see what wondrous Easter treats are in store. Some times I feel like I am Wile E. Coyote and the HAL website is the Road Runner. Meep Meep!
  13. I'm a little late to the party, but have a wonderful trip!
  14. Odds are best if you are on a cruise right after the ship changes markets/areas. They will be getting rid of the old stock.
  15. So good to hear from you, @Scrapnana We are just going to miss you. We're on the 9 day Rotterdam at the end of March. Rest assured that we will be out waving as you sail out Port Everglades. Very happy that you are going back to sea.
  16. Our first cruise was on the old Noordam, which was tiny (33,933 GT) compared to the enormous Prinsendam (38,848 GT). Our second was on the Ryndam, which was positively huge.
  17. I hear you. We are on the Rotterdam for a 9 day Southern on late March. It's the itinerary that the ship is doing right now. We're following the menus in the app each day. Kinda sad, but helpful.
  18. You'll probably need to plan cruise 2 on the website. We had 2 bookings. I could only work the first one on the app. For the second, I could select it on the HAL site under manage my cruise, and work on it from there. Our cruises were 4 months apart, but I'd bet the same applies to your B2B.
  19. Proctor and Gamble makes a food service version of Folgers. It consistently rates high in blind tests in the restaurant industry. Generally makes the testers mad because they think that they are above such pedestrian coffee. Perhaps they're too young to remember that the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup. ☕😃
  20. Fanning Island & French Polynesia.
  21. As soon as you connect to the ship's WLAN. Don't do it while you are in line on the gangway, though. Heads down, staring at your phone is not for our demographic. We're in the eyes-forward, paying attention age bracket.
  22. Me, too! (Wait. You mean the bourbon cocktail with the cherries? Well, I do drink those, but I am also old.)
  23. Easily. All four devices need to use the same login, but once you have logged in, you're good to go.
