My husband and I will be on the Dover to Dover cruise next week. I asked Crystal to answer a few questions we had and thought I would share for anyone interested: Formal night is Tuesday, September 24th. The White Extravaganza will be confirmed onboard. There will be a shuttle at the dock to central Rouen and times will be provided once onboard. On the overnight days in port you can return to the ship anytime up to two hours before debarkation as long as you inform the front desk. Hope this helps! Tricia

We will be docking in Rouen and want to take the train to Paris the next morning at 7:30. Are taxis available at the cruise port that early? And are taxis available at the train station after 9:00 pm? Our ship does not leave until the next morning. Thank you

Thank you both for the clarification. Now I’ll go back to finding other transportation to Amsterdam. The excursion is less than four hours in the city and we want to spend more time there especially since it is an overnight stop.

I will be on the Dover cruise on September 18th. TER777 and krb1000 how did you receive the information about the shuttle? I have not received the information. It’s great news, but I’m confused on why they are still offering an Amsterdam On Your Own excursion for $169. Thanks!

I emailed Cruise Express and they responded in a few days. They should be able to answer your question about return times. It looks like a great way to get to Bruges. Sadly, they are not running shuttles the day we are in port. Too small a ship I guess.

Does anyone know the cost of a taxi or Uber from Zeebrugge port to Bruges? The Cruise Express Shuttle is not available the day we are in port. Crystal is charging $89 a person for only four hours of time in Bruges. (Maybe that’s enough time to see it?) Thanks!

Thanks for all of the recommendations. I think we will go with the advanced train tickets. We shouldn’t have any issues making the train since we are staying close to the station.

We will be staying in London near Victoria station before our Crystal cruise out of Dover. Trying to decide if we should take the train or schedule a private car service. Looking for suggestions. Thanks!
