We are interested in this excursion but a little concerned when it says you have to walk 5-6 miles each way through the Siq and enter the city ruins (it's 1/2 mile from the entrance of the site to the Siq) We wouldn't have a problem walking 10-12 miles at our own pace but not sure how much time they give you go walk to the City. I did check the Activity Site (maybe it's called something else) on CC but there was nothing there that would answer my question. Thank you for any info you may have if you've done this specific excursion.

Has anyone done the excursion to Petra on Princess cruises? Their description says "1/2 mile walk from entrance to the sit to the beginning of the Siq then you must walk 5-6 miles through the Siq and enter into the city ruins and return the same way" We could walk 12 miles but at our own pace so curious if anyone has done the Princess excursion. Thank you

I logged on today - March 5 and nothing was there. Have called Princess 3 times and was told it opens on March 8 but they can't tell me if this is for Elite or everyone. If anyone has a trick that I'm not aware of to be able to book now I'd appreciate it:) Otherwise, I'll keep calling every day keeping my fingers crossed we get the cabin we want.

Question on Heraklion - can anyone tell me if Princess has a shuttle (free or nominal cost) that takes you into the town center? The one YouTube I saw dropped people off a long way from town We have an "On Your Own" tour booked but it's $60 total so if we can get to town for less that would be great Also, I understand you can take a city bus (or maybe it's just a bus) to Knosos - has anyone done that and was the bus easy? I think the price as about 1.5 EU so did you just use cash? Any info or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you
