  1. Yes I know! I was already corrected on this, no need to do it again. I didn’t notice in the original post that they asked about the MDR.
  2. On our Silhouette sailing in Feb I asked our waiter in Luminae who our asst waiter was as several people were doing different jobs (bread, refilling water, serving) and I wasn’t sure about who to tip at the end of our cruise. He said there really weren’t “asst” waiters anymore, everyone just pitched in. There was still a dedicated sommelier.
  3. Definitely go to Craft Social, right outside the casino and across the floor from the Martini bar! They have a wonderful choice of bourbons and one of the bartenders named Sean made my husband the most amazing smoked old fashions every night, trying different bourbons.
  4. Was on the Silhouette in Feb all set to buy an iPad with my OBC. Unfortunately they had none in stock on my sailing and I was disappointed. It’s not like a normal Apple Store.
  5. The menu changes every night and on the Reflection you are also able to ask for the MDR menu as the kitchens are next to each other. I was on the Silhouette (sister ship) in Feb and the nights we dined in Luminae I would mix and match from both menus. Suite guests also are permitted to eat in Blu, based on availability and having it cleared through Blu’s Maitre D’.
  6. Celebrity does not have formal nights, they are called Chic evenings and are more relaxed than the formal nights of the past. The dress code is on the Celebrity website, but is basically anything but shorts in the dining venues. You’ll see some still like to go all out, but the majority dress more casual. On a 7 night cruise they usually are day 2 and day 6.
  7. Luminae is not like a speciality restaurant where anyone can just pay a fee to dine there. You have to be invited by a suite guest and it needs to be cleared with the Maitre D’ based on date/time/availability. Fees are not consistent across the fleet. It used to be that the fee was charged to the suite guests account.
  8. 2 years ago we had a b2b booked for 4/18/24 (4 nights) and 4/22/24 (10 nights) on the Silhouette, both non refundable deposits. Got notified last year that they decided to reposition the ship to Europe a week earlier, thereby cancelling the 2nd leg of our trip. They offered to move the 10 day, gave us various dates and we did the cruise in Feb. They offered nothing for ruining our back to back and would not budge on letting us move the 4 nighter to hook it up with the new Feb cruise. They said we would have to pay the rate that the cruise was at which was like $$3000 more (it was for the PH) In the end we cancelled the April 4 nighter but they did return the deposit which was only $300. Your friend should escalate this as she should be entitled to every penny back. They cancelled, not her!
  9. If you win a move up bid to a suite you do not get the retreat perks of a beverage package and the premium internet, you keep whatever perks you had with your original booking. You would get Luminae, the suite restaurant as your dining venue, and access to the retreat lounge (or Michaels club) and the retreat pool deck on edge ships or the retreat deck on renovated ships. Speciality dining was never included for all suites, it’s an amenity for Royal Suites and above. If you win a move up bid to one of the upper tier suites (RS and above) you then would get the amenities (different from retreat perks) that come with that tier suite. That would include the speciality dining, 2 bottles of liquor in your suite and a fully stocked (beer, soda, water) fridge replenished daily.
  10. I believe while in port the casino opens at 9pm each evening.
  11. In the PH last month on Silhouette and our dedicated butler had a total of 13 suites to take care of. There is not 1 butler per high end suite, they are assigned quite a few. With butlers returning to Sky Suites, they’ll probably have even more.
  12. Was on a 10 day Silhouette cruise a few weeks ago and there was only one night in the Retreat Lounge with live music. It was the solo guitar player/singer, Cancio (he was excellent!) who was in various venues around the ship during the cruise. There was an invitation in our suite announcing the performance I think the morning of after we returned from breakfast.
  13. This is incorrect information, jeans can be worn on all cruises.
  14. We always prebook loungers and umbrellas at Harbour Lights which is at Carlisle Bay. Beautiful beach with water activities, food and drinks.
  15. We were on the 2nd leg of this trip and had a great time! Had included speciality dining so ate 6 out of 10 nights in these venues and totally enjoyed every meal. Will say that the nights we dined in Luminae I had a hard time finding something that appealed to me, as they have gotten to fancy with the choices. Thankfully they offer the MDR menu on Silhouette so I was able to mix and match. Breakfast was the star for me in Luminae. As stated by the OP, the crowd on the ship were older, but I was stunned by how empty some venues were by 10pm! The casino only had a handful of players, the martini bar was dead, not a soul sitting there when I passed by to get to the elevators. Entertainment was good. The illusionist was very entertaining. The singer in the theater was talented and the added bonus was that if you were a fan of the tv show Chicago Med you knew him. We actually had a wonderful conversation with him on the pool with his mom the afternoon of his scheduled performance. Really nice, polite, personable guy. If the soloist Cancio is on your cruise be sure to see him! He did a set in the Retreat Lounge one evening and he was fantastic! Perfect weather on port days. My favorite was Barbados, most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. We’ve been to the islands several times, but I’ll always get myself to the beach here. All and all a very enjoyable vacation. Silhouette is our favorite ship and we hope to be back onboard in the future.
  16. Was on Silhouette the last 10 days and asked our dedicated butler when the Sky Suite butlers were returning on that particular ship and he said it would be June.
  17. I don’t need the latest model either. Don’t even know what version they are up to, but I’m hoping they at least have the iPad 9 or better. I have so much OBC, need to spend it somewhere.
  18. Have your room steward empty your mini fridge and bring back what you like with your drink package from any bar to your cabin.
  19. Anyone on the Silhouette right now that knows if they have IPads? Was hoping to get one with OBC on our cruise that starts Monday.
  20. Celebrity docks in Bayonne, which is in New Jersey.
  21. It’s one bottle per person of drinking age in your cabin. Link to Celebrity’s FAQ’s about alcohol https://www.celebritycruises.com/int/faqs/faq-fragments/enjoying-your-cruise-fragments/beverage-packages
  22. Your beverage package is not used in the Retreat Lounge, all drinks there are complimentary to all suite guests. You use it at all bars and restaurants on the ship.
