  1. I am looking in to Seabourn right now!!! Looks very interesting!!! Thanks!!!
  2. We loved our first two Oceania cruises, but this last 18 day one on Marina was a bit of a disappointment. It just didn't seem to be up to par. We do love the very relaxed atmosphere on O and enjoyed their buffet. We also enjoy the elegant atmosphere in the evenings with live soothing music everywhere. But, we are presently exploring other lux lines.
  3. We hope Oceania is looking at this decline!!!! We started out sailing many years ago on RCCL, Princess and then moved to Celebrity and watched them keep lowering their standards!!! That is why we moved to O. Now they seem to be doing the same dang thing!!!!
  4. We have just returned from 18 day cruise on Marina. We had an awesome experience, but there were some areas we were not happy with. This was our third cruise on O and our 40th cruise altogether. On previous O cruises we LOVED the bed. So much so that after this cruise we were going to purchase two of them. This cruise the bed was NOT too good. We will not be purchasing any now. Cabin attendant seemed overworked, but she did her best and it was always clean and tidy. Room service was great as was the food. We were disappointed with Jaques. I will probably get blasted for this, but to us the food was just so so. Nothing special. Chef Pepin would NOT be happy!!!! We spoke with other passengers that agreed. We did enjoy the other two specialty restaurants. Ship seemed understaffed in some areas. We had to flag down servers in Horizons Lounge to get more wine often. The music was great in the bar by the casino and also in Horizons. We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Oceania and did enjoy the buffet, but it was often very crowded and hard to find a table. We enjoy being able to stay informal and go there and not have to dress up for dinner. We did that often. Overall the O experience just seemed a little off for us. We are presently looking at other luxury lines.
  5. Sorry for the confusion. I said we go to the buffet in casual attire sometimes. We know we would never go in shorts to the MDR or any specialty restaurant. How about Regent? Are you allowed to go in shorts in the evening occasionally?
  6. We are considering our first Regent cruise that includes The Amazon River. What shots might we be required to have before going?
  7. We have cruised many times on RCCL, Celebrity, Azamara and Princess. Most recently we have been on three Oceania cruises which we enjoyed. We enjoy a more relaxed cruise and on previous cruises will occasionally opt to stay informal (me in shorts) and just go to the buffet for dinner rather than country club casual. We enjoy good wine with live music. Food is high on the list too. Not interested in shows. Which luxury cruise would fit us?
